I am in the 4th inning of a Tigers vs Yankees game with me managing the home team Yanks and on the screen ... the visual boxscore ... it says the Tigers have only registered 1 hit yet when you go to the Box Score link on the right and press it well it shows 2 hits for them which is the correct scoring for this game.

You need to attach things like box score, play-by-play, and perhaps a screenshot for things like this in order to determine the answer

That is so time consuming and with what I am reporting it is pretty straight forward as to what I am talking about.
Galloway supposedly just got a hit but then I look at the viewable on screen scoreboard and there is not hit a hit in that boxscore on the right either that you can get to by clicking on the button. It was a bunt single if that helps at all.
As for patches that are not legit I have not found what you are talking about.

Yet another hit that is not a hit .... Collins for the 1927 A's got a bunt single and it is not registering on either the scoreboard or the boxscore ..... a previous hit that didn't register properly was a bunt single but I am also certain I have posted about one that was a regular single ....
bottom line is hits aren't registering properly

You sure the guy didn't hit into a fielder's choice?

I assume you are addressing this post (http://forum.sportsmogul.com/showthread.php?t=108983) from another thread.
Official patches automatically but there are unofficial patches you can also download that may fix the patch (the latest one is usually near the top of with a title like Unofficial Patch version 9.28)
A screen shot of the event would be helpful in a case like this. Adding boxscores and the play-by-play usually would help in these cases too.
It is also helpful to read the titles of the first few pages of Bugs and Technical Questions to see if your problem has already been reported and if it has been fixed (and what version it was fixed in).
This link can be helpful on how write a bug report that is clear and helpful to the community and the programmers.
Posting the box score and play-by-play are simple cut-and-pastes, would take most people an extra 10-20 seconds total. If 'that is so time consuming' then I hope someone else will try to help you; because I was going to, but not now. I certainly won't take the time to look through the bug reports and see if the problem has been addressed for you because that is so time consuming and won't explain patches more as that is so time consuming.
Good luck.

Mickey Cochrane to the catcher .... that is what the play said .... so you assume it is an out but then no out is recorded but also no hit is recorded .... this is getting to be ridiculous and I understand that patching fixes games but alot of the basics are messed up

When I buy a game it should not be my job to work the bugs out !!! I am not getting paid to play this and I didn't beta this so don't be so mouthy with me and quite honestly I don't know how to add things to these msgs but again with the problems I have listed I think they are pretty straight forward and should not be hard to reinvent.

Yes definitely did not hit into fielder's choice ...... I read over n over the play by play during the game as it happened and then after the game

BOTTOM OF THE EIGHTH
Eddie Collins grounded to the second baseman. <--->
Jimmie Dykes singled in the right field gap. <--1>
Mickey Cochrane to the catcher. <--1>
Al Simmons tripled in the left field gap, scoring a run. <3-->
Zack Wheat popped up foul down the first base line. <3-->
Jim Poole grounded to the pitcher. <3-->
1 run, 2 hits, 0 errors, and 1 left on base.
At the end of the eighth, the game is tied at 2.
Here is something I got from the box score and really this doesn't tell the story .... the bottom line is Mickey Cochrane didn't get a hit and didn't get an out and no he didn't hit into a fielder's choice ....
I am using Windows XP SP 2 and was using version 9.23 of the game and now all of a sudden I see there is a new patch to install ... 9.29 ... I only just found out after going to help. Hoping it works ....

Even though DeViLzzz2006 doesn't realize how frustrating it is to other users of these forums by his not giving enough detailed info so that Clay can know exactly what the problem is, I recently saw what I think is the same issue myself so I feel compelled to jump in here.
I am running 9.23 (I only do official patches) and was playing a game in Play-by-play mode. One of the batters bunted for a base hit, and although the batter's individual totals and the pitching statistics reflected the hit, the line score at the top of the screen does not show it properly. This can also be seen in reviewing the text commentary:
TOP OF THE FIRST
Joaquin Andujar takes the mound for the Astros.
Dave Cash bunts for a base hit to the pitcher. <--1>
Dave Cash was caught stealing second. <--->
Warren Cromartie singled down the first base line. <--1>
Andre Dawson homered over the center field fence for two RBIs. <--->
Tony Perez grounded to second. <--->
Gary Carter lined out to second. <--->
2 runs, 2 hits, 0 errors, and 0 left on base.
In the middle of the first, Montreal leads 2 to 0.
Cash, Cromartie and Dawson all got hits, but the text summary only credits them for 2 runs and 2 hits.
Also, this is a partial box score, but notice how the total of hits by Montreal batters is 9, while the line score only shows 7 hits by the Expos:
1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 + R H E
Expos (MON) 2 0 1 1 0 0 0 0 4 7 0
Astros (HOU) 0 0 1 0 0 0 0 1 6 0
MONTREAL ab h bb r hr bi k sb avg
D. Cash (2B) 4 1 0 1 0 0 0 1 .269
W. Cromartie (RF) 4 2 0 1 0 0 1 0 .280
E. Valentine (RF) 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 .000
A. Dawson (CF) 3 1 1 1 1 2 0 0 .208
T. Perez (1B) 3 1 0 0 0 1 0 0 .143
G. Carter (C) 3 1 0 0 0 0 0 0 .211
L. Parrish (3B) 3 1 0 1 1 1 1 0 .222
T. Johnson (LF) 3 1 0 0 0 0 0 0 .278
J. White (LF) 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 .000
T. Foli (SS) 3 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 .158
S. Rogers (P) 3 1 0 0 0 0 1 0 .200
TOTALS 29 9 1 4 2 4 3 1
As I recall from when I played this game, both times it happened with bunt singles.

Try updating to the new official patch, 9.29.
May I ask why you don't do unofficial patches? So far, only one unofficial patch screwed anything about, and that was minor. Overwhelmingly, unofficial patches are just as good quality as official ones.

Houston,
I'll give it more consideration based on that info, but my experience in the past with other software has trained me to wait. If the author himself is giving a separate "unofficial/official" designation, I figure there is some greater degree of finality to the patch.
In reality, I also just don't usually have enough time to play the game every day, and Clay does so well in releasing official patches so soon, I figure it's just easier to wait a bit.

The unofficial just means that Clay himself hasn't tested as thoroughly as for official patches. However, they very very rarely introduce new bugs.

Try telling that to the player, who while semi-patiently waiting for the stolen base bug to be fixed, is now presented with the inability to sim past 1992  .
*shrug* The trade off between fixing one bug at the expense of creating another (sometimes major, sometimes realitively minor), and the sometimes accompanying decision/preference the player is presented with in the process, has been a relative staple of this game and it's pre-last patches for as long as i've personally been playing it.
(which in all fairness though, is hardly some exclusive concept related just to the Baseball Mogul game)

I had to fix some of the box score code because it wasn't updating hits or errors until the end of the inning (this is no problem when simming, but now that you can open the box score in mid-game, I had to fix it). There is probably a still a problem in this area, or a related bug that I introduced.
Of course, I will fix it fairly soon.

It's almost 3:00 am and I think I finally have this bug fixed:

This is an unofficial patch so unzip bb2k7.exe and copy over your existing file.
(You can open the Baseball Mogul 2007 folder by choosing 'Open Game Folder' from the Help Menu)

How ignorant of you. Clay works incredibly hard on this game and you are making a fool of yourself in this thread saying you don't have the time to post small details that make the bug easier to fix. It takes a minute tops. People would've been nicer to you if you would've just said "I don't know how to post those" as opposed to "I don't have time to and it doesn't matter anyways.
I'm pretty sure the bug has been fixed in the later patch(es) but I know I used to see that happen too. It was sometimes when my player or an opposing player would try to bunt for a hit, that would happen. It is a decently big deal if you play in the play by play mode, because it doesn't record an out or atbat and it goes right on to the next batter, but no need to knock the game writer for it. I'm pretty sure this bug was allready fixed so I'm doneh ere.
