Preliminary League Formation

Supposedly there is a new release of Football Mogul on the way. I would like to begin a new league for the game, but understand from previous experience that it takes some time to get enough people together and in place to develop a league in which it is fun to play. I am not sure when the new verison of FB Mogul is to be released, but hopefully soon. If anyone is interested in joining a new league, please contact me so that we can begin to set up. Waiting until the game is released is not a good idea because once we get it, we all want to play, and who wants to then sit around and discuss league formalities, team ownership, etc?

I have not decided on a name for the league yet, that is something the owners can decide collectively. I am willing to be league commissioner and host the league website on my web server. I will also the develop the website, which will include separate homepages for all the teams in the league, a news area, and whatever else anyone wants to see up there.

Managing a team in a football sim has always been a hobby of mine, and I am looking for others who have the same interest in the game. Team ownership will be on a first come-first serve basis. I don't really have a preference of any particular team I want to run, but will likely take a low-tier team like Carolina or Buffalo as I enjoy the challenge of rebuilding. Hello All,

This post is an update to my orginal post regarding the formation of a new league with the up-and-coming release of Football Mogul 2002. Please read below for some important information.

-League Name: The league is now the IFL (Internet Football Leagure) and I have registered the domain intfl.com for the league website. Once the league is up and running, each team will have a team webpage with team news, roster info, etc. The URL for the team pages will be www.intfl.com/teamname

-SOFTWARE: It has come to my attention that FB Mogul may not be released until sometime this August or September. This is a long way off and I had hoped to begin league play much sooner that this. Someone pointed out to me that Front Office Football from EA Sports may be a good alternative. The 2002 version of that software has already been released and is available as a pay-per-download at EA's website. I would appreciate any comments on this idea or any further information regarding the release of Mogul. I have contacted the Sports Mogul President for more details to no avail

-Teams still available: There has been some good interest in this league and quite a few team ownership spots have already been filled. If you are interested in being in the league and have not already contacted me, please do so. My email address is

-Yahoo Listserv: A gentleman who has been kind enough to help me run this league has created a Listserv on Yahoo for the league. I am hoping he will post an email here with more details on that.

Hello All,

This is the latest update for the up-and-coming IFL. As you have most likely read by now, the software is due out in August. Over the next couple of weeks, myself and the cofounder of the league, I believe, are going to beginning forming league bylaws, etc. We still have slots available, so for those reading that have not reserved your team, please do so ASAP.

For those of you who have emailed me over the past several weeks, I apologize if I have not responded. I run a business up here in NJ and we are going through a period of expansion so I have had little time to do anything but work over the past month. But please do not take a lack of reply personally- I have read your emails and will be sending around an email to all league owners shortly.

Does anybody know if there will be FB online leagues similar to the Baseball Mogul online? I have played Front Office FB for years and it is great, however playing against human opponents would be the ultimate. Thanks.
