Anybody here see the White Sox want Tori Hunter??? Having a down year but get him off that turf and he could be nasty. Decent power with steals and a .300 BA... They are building a dynasty. Every move they have made in the last 2 years has made them stronger. Signing and NOT signing players!!! They are a good reason y im glad the braves aren't in the AL (besides the stupid DH!!!)

As a Twins fan I would hate to see Hunter go ANYWHERE, let alone to the White Sox. Don't be fooled...Hunter is NOT a .300 hitter or even a POTENTIAL .300 hitter. Hunter has a career .267 average in the majors and a career .269 average in the minors. Hunter is a G-R-E-A-T defensive player and a great addition to any team and clubhouse, but offensively, he is nothing more than slightly above average. It will be interesting to see if the Twins feel that Hunter's fan-favorite status is worth 12 mil., 'cause his play certainly isn't.

I didnt even realize he was a poor AVG hitter. Now that I look at his stats... He is NOT the star I thought he was. He has said that he isnt going to stay unless the twins are getting a grass park. He has said it is killing his body too much.

Yes, he had a breakout year in 2002 where he looked like he may be 30-30 player year-in and year-out, but that season was also his peak. He's been adequate, but his defense is what helps people overlook his offense.

The Twins won't pay 10+ million for a mainly defensive outfielder.
