One of the enjoyments in mogul is the history that we make. In this post you will find the best players ever to play. And over the next few weeks and months it will continue to change. If you are in a paid league please feel free to post and add to this history. Conditions of the list are.... 1) As of 8/10/06 the league has 20+ human players. 2) League is not an elimination league 3) League is a paid or private league. No free leagues will be included 4) NEW RULE League must also exist as of 8/10/06. Present and future leagues only since there is no way to verify the records were set with at least 20+ human players.

Here is the list of the leagues which will be included. Again message me or post your league and record breaking players and I will add them to the list.

Now I found something interesting about doing the pitching single season list. Its very hard to put together. Due to real baseball history being updated its very easy to miss a pitcher that threw 300 strike outs or even an ace with 29 wins. Hopefully we have most of them. Feel free to PM me any I have missed. Thanks.

We need your help!

We've all been there. Draft day comes and we drool over the amazing talent. Then as the years go by we notice as some of these players become the best in the league. Usually with some GM posting over and over how great he/she is. Then when they retire and rank top among those on the leader board the question occurs. Could this player be the best in all the leagues?

That question is exactly what got me on this quest to post as much info as possible from all the active paid leagues. But with all the hours and hours i've spent this list is very incomplete. So I need your help. PM me or feel free to post here any stats or players who should be on these top ten list. Also some of the players posted are actually still active and playing. Please keep me posted on thier careers so we can all see thier final numbers and where they stand All Time. Thank you.

Also just a side note. As you can tell some players (Bonds, Clemens, etc.) you will not find on these list. I felt since most of thier careers had already been played the skill of actually beefing thier numbers isn't worth posting on our All Time list. But some players did slide through to make the list. Players like Pujols, Santana, and even Gagne I decided to allow due to the amount of years they are actually played before thier careers come to the end. Again thanks to everyone that helped and keep those PM's coming so I can keep this listing as accurate as possible. Thanks

Great list Kotoll. A couple things to add:

Sandy Davis (http://bmo.sportsmogul.com/bg.pl?page=scouting&id=47194083) had a career total of 906 SB's which qualifies him for 10th on the all time steals list.

Nathan Goldsworthy (http://bmo.sportsmogul.com/bg.pl?page=scouting&id=19033403)'s 374 career victories puts him in a tie for 5th with Jay Margolin. Jiji Stenardo (http://bmo.sportsmogul.com/bg.pl?page=scouting&id=1533329070) now has sole possession of 9th on the AT wins list. CC Sabathia (http://bmo.sportsmogul.com/bg.pl?page=scouting&id=2801557) played the vast majority of his career in IL30 and recorded 374 wins which would put him in a tie with Goldsworthy IF you want to consider him for the list as well.

Defiently feel free to write something on the players mentioned above in the top 10. That goes for anyone who feels like doing it. I know I got quite a few in here that im thinking of doing the same thing with. Maybe another sticky though so they dont get lost in the post. But defiently a great idea:D

The Prince now 44 and has a health rating of 40. I offered him a contract extension, and we will see today if he accecpts it or goes into the Hall with staggering stat totals (and rank in all of mogul).

4322 Hits (3rd)
3108 RBI (1st)
1129 HR (1st)
2469 Runs (8th)

If he comes back and gets more than 100 games he has a shot to move up to 1st in hits amd 7th in runs.

An interesting note is that only 3 times in his 27 year career he walked more than 50 times. Throughout 18 of his 27 years he hit in front of perhaps the best hitter I have ever seen in Darryl "The King" Smith. During their primes Smith was undoubtedly much better. It would be like comparing Palmero to McGuire. The King at the age of 39 hit .310 with 60 HRs and in the All Star Game the next season he came in hitting .300 with 30 HRs and had 998 career HRs. Tragedy stuck and he broke his back. After a year of rehab he came back with a 29 health and never was the same. The King shows up all over this t hread, but if he had not gotten thrown off of his son's motorcycle at "The Rothlesberger and Kent Chopper School" he was on track to pass 1,250 HRs.

Another thing to add about IL30 is that many of it records on the leaders page are not the actual records. WIth IL30 in year 2085 many of the records have disapeared due to gliches. For example it says the IL30 RBI single Season total is 179 by Hanna Sammons, but it is actually 206 by a player I had that I can no longer remember. Even Duane Andrew had 189 RBI in a season, in fact Duane Andruw is nowhere to be found on any of the leader boards in IL30 despite being one of its greatest players.

It seems the records in IL30 do not go past year 2065. It would take extensive research into the hall of fame to find most of this out. Unless Sturge still has the IL30 website stuff and michael as well.

It would be cool so see an individual awards page. Like most total # of MVP, Cy Young, All Star, Gold Glove, even world series for a single player. This would probably have to take a good amount of player participation, although just by looking at some of the players on this list it can probably be started.

I updated the rules to all this just a little bit. Both World Wide and dabruinss league I can't add because there not presently active. Guessing dabruinss was reset? But the problem comes down to being able to verify the info and knowing that 20+ human players were playing at the time. But least there post here and recorded in the web pages. :)

Brian Oddey of IL30 just went 26-1. He started the year 25-0 in his first 29 tarts and I made the greedy mitake of going 4 man rotation in September as I salivated over the thought of getting a guy to 30 wins. In his last 5 starts he went 1-1. It was still one of the bet seasons to date. Going int othe last 5 games his ERA was 1.56 but as he slipped a bit his ERA barely stayed below 2 at 1.99.

Prince was updated...not sure if we got his total numbers before league reset.

CML4 had a lot of drop outs after 10 seasons, but one player was great enough for many of us to stick around until he retires. Clay Bonar is the best player I have ever seen so I feel he deserves some sort of mention on this thread. Clay a the age of 40 just had his ratings drop, but he already sits in the top 5 in all offensive categories except SB. If I run him out there til he retires I will jeopardize his .322 BA, .513 OBP and 1.237 OPS. I think I want to see him reach 1250 HRs and pass the prince in RBI. If he holds on that long he will own every career record in mogul.

Scooter, I'd recommend copying all the information from kotoll's posts, and reposting them in a new thread. You can control the posts and the thread that way. Easiest way is to quote the posts, copy everything, and remove the quote tags before posting the reply. You can either do it in this thread and I can split your posts off into a new thread, post directly to a new thread. All the same to me.
:)

alright. i will work on this sometime in the next week. In the meantime people should start posting their players. Can anyone tell me how to make links to the players work in the general forum? something like paste the card to paint then make a link? if anyone knows let us all post the players in the same format so on the leaderboard you can pull up the player cards even if you are not in that league.

THe direct link is the best way. In order for people who are not members of the players league to view the card, you need to visit the league as a guest. You go to the league page (the one that lists the teams and their owners), and there's a button there that allows you to be a guest. So, a link to the player's league page would be helpful in addition to the link to the player itself.

Getting a screen shot of the player cards is good as well, since the game doesn't keep any players information indefinitely.
