How good a pitcher can this guy become ??? I wish he was on the Jays and every time I play Mogul I try to trade for him. I hope that the Marlins will continue to improve their ball club and make it easier for him to rack up wins. Ryan Dempster ..... man they were talkin about Rick Ankiel and how good he can become but Dempster is actually succeeding on the Major League level.
Well Dempster is on pace for a 19-13 win/loss record this season with a 4.46 ERA ..... pretty good numbers these days and only a few starts back he was able to get 6 innings in and he did give up 5 runs but was able to get the win ... he is going to go over 200 innings which shows durability and he can pitch into ball games late which gives him the opportunity to get some wins .....
I saw him pitch a bit last night in Colorado and he was spotted a 5 run lead ..... but got killed again like he had in the past in Colorado .... his ERA is astronomically large but quite frankly who doesn't have a problem pitching there ....
He won two games in his last three starts vs legitimate contenders which is big this time of year. Dempster is a keeper for Florida but it would be scary to see what this guy would get on the open market right now ......
What exactly does Dempster need to improve his game ?? Are there any experts out there who can comment on his game ?? Does he need to add a pitch or is it just a matter of experience ??
