Well I guess you could say there is alot of disappointment in Chicago this year .... well maybe not because everyone cares about the Cubs and nobody cares about the White Sox but ..... well I though I would write about them and care about them for a second ....
Number one comment I always make when talking about the White Sox is that they really created a brand new UGLY stadium. They really need a new park already :O) heheh
Now onto baseball. With addition of David Wells things were to get better for the White Sox but of course Wells is a head case and when he isn't on his game things can really go sour for him. David Wells is a bull dog at times but not one of the top pitchers in baseball. They got him for nothing really considering Sirotka's career may be through so it was a worthwhile investment but Wells is getting old and pitchers retire ..... Wells may want to think about it soon heheh ...... the good news for the White Sox is that Foulke is an excellent closer who has 31 saves in 34 opportunities .... very nice and the White Sox have gotten some tremendous starting pitching from Mark Buehrle ..... he is holding batters to a .215 clip which is absolutely outstanding .....

Even in seasons of disappointment there are often bright spots somewhere ...... hopefully for the Sox sake they can count on him in the future to pitch like he is ... because there isn't much else to their starting staff :O) haha

One thing I notice about the White Sox offensively is that they don't have many players who walk a whole lot. Yes they have some decent boppers who can hit the long ball but if there isn't any runners on .... it isn't going to amount to much ....

I like this Jeff Liefer guy ..... haha .... the next Rob Deer ???? He has 55 KO's in 184 AB but has nice power .... 13 HR's .... reminds me also of Ken Phelps and Dave Kingman ..... I love those kind of hitters ... free swingers .....

Keith is gone after this season my freind. He wants 10 million dollors on his first year of his contract. No way is any releiver in the big leagues worth that amount of money. This is what I am thinking (hoping) is going to happen the rest of this season. Right now the Sox are 7.5 games behind Cleveland. Forget about Minn. They are done. It seems that every time the Sox win and Indians win, same as when the Sox lose Cleveland loses. The Sox have 8 more games with Cleveland. Now if they can take them in 6 out of 8 of those games and pick up 2 games here and there they will win the division by 1 game. Then get sweeped for the second year in a row by Seattle. Go Sox and get ride of Thomas.
