Stadiums.. How do they effect the game

Since there is no option to change the details of the Stadium besides ticket prices would be kind enough to give us all a run down on the particulars of how stadiums effect a teams performance and the over all aspects of the team in general.

Are all stadiums from the "cookie cutter" style?
In the case of their measurements, does the game engine take into account the stadium?
Does Yankee stadium have a short porch in right or does Astros Field have the Crawford boxes a pop fly away in left in BMO?
Could we assume that since Seattle has a "pitchers park" in real life that it is the same here in BMO as well?

I think this info in critical in the way GM's build their teams.

I haven't noticed any park effects.

When you think about it, having a "short porch in right" and etc loses pretty much all of it's meaning when you don't include righty/lefty splits in the game.

The most pronounced park effect in baseball, Coors Field, also seems unrepresented.

If anyone else HAS noticed park effects, feel free to step forward, but I'm pretty sure I'm correct in this area.

I'm pretty sure I read some where Park effects are in the game,maybe not to the extent of short porch's,but to hitters and pitchers parks.Every league I'm in Colorado has poor pitching and great hitting.Maybe someone more knowledgeable can tell us definitevly:)

Is that so? I think I'm simply remembering one league I was in where the Rockies had the best pitching staff in the league, with 2 or 3 in the top ten in ERA. Maybe that was just a fluke year and I let it colour my perception of the game... what bad analysis, I should be ashamed!

There have always been park effects in the game, but so far, they haven't been perfected. I don't think we have installed the new park effects into the online game yet, but in the CD-Rom game, park effects have been updated. I am pretty sure those effects will be updated when the stadium builder is put in the online game.
