yea, the search function on most forums isn't exactly perfect. That's a vBulletin issue though rather than something that anyone running the forum can do anything about.

One solution is to use google. If you preface your search term with Site:sportsmogul then you'll find pages only on this site.

The other issue, that all of us can help out with, is to keep posts in the correct areas. If we only post threads in the correct forums the search function built into the forum can work much better. Moderators can help this out some by moving posts to the correct forums, but it's all of us being responsible and posting in the correct place to begin with that makes things work as well as they can.

I've never had a problem with the search, other than left-clicking on it rarely works for me. So I right-click and open in a new tab and it has always worked for me as I would expect it to.

Should also unsticky/delete really old posts or inappropriate threads (ex bug threads for .44A/B/C etc whose problems have been fixed in later patches)

unsticky, yes. although, Clay was just saying yesterday that there's a vbulletin problem with unstickying posts over a certain length.

I don't think that posts should ever be deleted though. I have a tough time thinking of any good reasons to actually delete anything. Locked maybe, if someone feels like spending the time on doing so. I don't think that it's that important though.

We arent going to be deleting any threads. But new threads will be closer to the top. THat should help...

Also, posting what your problem is, you will get a post from HoustonGM within the day ;) or FRENCHREDSOX, ohms or SirKodiak. :)
