I'm in a league where I own Detroit. I've won the division the last 5 year and can't seem to make up any revenue. I alway seem to lose money or break out even.My expenses are set at around 15th in the league. My broadcast is Pay TV,,,and salary set around 65 to 75 mil every year. Budget always around 45 to 55. Any ideas ?

Thanks Vin

Do you sell out every game? If so, bump up your ticket prices.

Other than that you have to start winning championships to get your revenue to go up. But it'll top out eventually.

Set your broadcast to local blackout. You will sell the most tickets like that.

If you are in Detroit, you should be able to make close to 120mil in revenue a year if you are a playoff team and have A rated fan loyalty. Liek it was previously mentioned, local blackout is the way to go so you can sell out those home games. Make sure you always raise your ticket prices to 100% during the playoffs, and broadcast to pay tv.

I've found with mid to small market teams that win games...if you make it local blackout and then throughout the season slowly raise the ticket prices every month or so, they fans keep coming and pay more. This only works though if your team is successful. I was the Diamondbacks in one league and was very successful. I"d start out at say +30 at the beginning of the season and by the beginning of September I was able to charge +100 each season.

That will maximize your earnings...you also need to control your expenses. Payroll is obvious, but keeping the expenditures at a reasonable level is the other part.

Never use normal broadcast. Of the three the normal is a waste. ;)
