Originally, I was taking a test. John Leisher in '50. 65/65. Age set to 18, peak start set to 18, peak end set to 50, health set to 100. I filled an entire pitching staff with him. Draft predictability 0%. HoF Careers 70%.

My goal? See if I could win the World Series with a horrible pitching staff that I probably wouldn't have to pay much. Result? ... John Leisher and his clones became good starters and 1 of them won a Cy Young at age 23. One saves 60 games and blows 3 saves.

Initially, these guys were career minor leagers, 5-7 ERA guys, .300 BAA and now I have a Cy Young winner!

All of them had a HUGE statistical improvement. (dropping from batters hitting over .300 against them to .250 in predicted stats)

NONE fell off a cliff.

ONE didn't do so well because he left the team, wasn't given playing time, and ended up at 75/75 holding batters to a .278 predicted OBA.

Also if a player has a no-trade clause the AI STILL trades him x_X;;

John Leisher, 7 years later.

Also don't assume that he is the ONLY pitcher to include. All of his clones reached a similar, if not better, level.

Well, considering he's 18 and peak start is 18...it's not draft predictability, but rather regular rating changes. I'm 95% sure DP only happens before peak start. I could be wrong though.

John Leister!! I knew that guy! He pitched in my hometown when he was in the minors, glad to see he's done well for himself :D

Interesting. I should see if I take a prospect (55/97 or something) and put him in a starting rotation if he'll develop well.

Well, with draft predictability at -100%, there's a chance he'll never reach 97, and beciome like 70 or something.
