The new managment in LA has already made a very big trade according to a source very close to the angels. Nelson the new Gm is taking a lot of heat for trading away Jered Weaver, John Lackey, Juan Rivera and Robb Quinlan to the Redsox. In return the angels got LF Many Ramirez, David Ortiz, Curt Schilling, Josh Beckett, Daniel Bard and Craig Hansen. We were supposed to have an interview with there new GM but he is't here yet. Oh wait here he comes now.
KSPN. Why were you so late????
NL. I just finsihed completing a very big trade.
KSPN. Yes we know about the Manny trade.
NL. Know no that one. I just got Prince Fielder from the Brewers for Macier Izturitz, Casey Kotchman, Adam Kennedy and 2 prospects.
KSPN. Well that's great another great trade. Remember you heard it here first on KSPN.

I everbody! Today we will talk about the twins and there bullpen problem. Not only do the Angels have a bullpen era this year of 4.29 but Hector Carrasco, one of the Angels trusted relievers career is over. He toar his rotator cuff during yesterdays game and his ratings dropped to 45/55. This is just another reason why the Angels need another arm in the pen. We talked to the Angels Gm Nelson and he said that it is being worked on and a deal should be made soon.
The rumored team in the deal??? The Padres

This just in!! The Angels traded prospects Nick Green, Bob Zimmerman and reliever Matt Hensley to the A's for Kiko Calero. Wow this new GM is a genius. Hey listeners, If you have questions you can phone in and they will be answered. Even though they got a good arm in the pen the Angels are still rumored to be in trade talks with the San Diego Padres.

Today the Angels have traded SS Orlando Cabrera injured pitcher Bartolo Colon Kiko Calero and prospect Nick Andenhart to the Yankees for pitcher Chieng Ming Wang, top prospect Philip Hughes and lefty speacialist Mike Myers. We have there GM Nelson in the studio to talk about the trade.

KSPN Why did you do this trade????
NL Well Brandon Wood was tearing up triple a with a Batting Average of over .400. Bartolo Colon is injured and getting paid quite a bit. He was really a throw in in the trade. Kiko Calero is good but we needed a lefthanded pitcher in our bullpen. Nick Andenhart is a good prospect but Phiilip Hughes is better.
KSPN Well are you taking a lot of heat for this trade?
NL Yes i am. But people dont realise that i was able to cut salary in this trade, get a star prospect a spot in the Majors, and get a huge upgrade for our fifth starter.
KSPN Well thats all the time we have for now, hopefully this trade will help the struggling Angels a lot.

Trade rumors have leaked about 6th starter Joe Saunders today. After his 8 inning performance yesterday teams have relized his talent and the Angels have relized that he has value. Teams who have reportedly contacted the Angels just today about Sanuders include Tampa Bay, Boston, Oakland, Milwakee, St. Louis., and teh Rangers. The Angels front office has said that they aren't going to trade him just yet but he is avalible. The Angels are rumored to want a CF in this trade.

Wow, and we have some HUGE news out of Anaheim everbody. Carl Crawford and Seth Mclung have been traded to the angels!!!!!! They have been traded for Joe Saunders, Chone Figgins and Scott Shields. This trade greatly improves the Angels in centerfield, and the leadoff spot. Seth Mclung is good right now and will only get better. Scott Shields is great but is on his way down, his ERA is more then 1 run bigger then what it was last year at this time. The Angels have announced that they have also traded for Mike Mcdougal of the Whitesox to replace Shield in the pen. Going to the White Sox are Nate Bland, Hank Conger, and Reggie Willits. Jeff Mathis will replace Hank Conger on the bench. Mcdougal will be the Angels set up man and Mclung will be there 7th innings guy.

Today the Angels have finally got something they need......a decent relief pitcher. Earlier today it was reported that the Angels were close to making a deal to the padres for Scott Lienbrink but after they demanded Josh Beckett or Chieng Ming Wang for the reliver the Angels said "forget it". The Angels then had to settle for David Riske. So far this year Riske ERA is only 3.25. Going to the White Sox in return for him are Kevin Gregg and Chris Bootcheck.

dump VLAD... He isn't worth his money. At a less cost I'd keep him but not for over 10 million

This just in......THE ANGELS HAVE TRADED VLAD GUERRERO. To.....The Dodgers!?!?! He has been traded for top prospects Chad Billingsley Andy LaRoche reliver Joe Beimel and outfielder Delwyn Young(Jason Bulge also went to the Dodgers). When trade rumors started about Vladimir Guerrero about a week ago the Dodgers were listed as a team that would want him but wouldn't have the players to get him. After the Angels demanded Andy Laroche and Chad Bellingsly as well as a a few other players the Dodgers weren't interested but i guess that "source" close to the Dodgers was wrong. Seth Mclung has been sent down to make room for Beimel. He was reportedley sent down to"regain his form." Does this meen the Angels are going to be sellers at the trading deadline??? Only time will tell.

The only reason i got Beimel was his era this year was great, it was only 2.40. Also i go thim because i traded Seth McClung(or a least i will in the next post)

It's official. The Angels are rebuilding. Just 2 hours after they traded Vlad Guerrero they have made another trade. They have spun Delwyn Young along with Rafael Rodriguez and Seth Mclung to the Mariners for top prospect Adam Jones and Chris Snelling(and cash.) This makes the Angels core for the future And Laroche, Adam Jones, Howie Kendrick, Brandon Wood, Craig Hansen, Daniel Bard, Phillip Hughes and Chad Billinglsey. That looks pretty good to me. Well all i have to say is GO ANGELS GO.

You might want to give the readers more of an idea of how the Angels are doing compared to the rest of the league. Perhaps a list of the power rankings, with a brief writeup about each team.

For example:

Power Rankings

1. Los Angeles Angels (45-25, 1st in American League West). Joe Schlabotnik's hitting helped the Angels take two straight away series against the Red Sox and the AL Central-leading Indians. Ryan Fireball pitched back to back two-hitters, and attendance is booming.
....
....
....
30. Pittsburgh Pirates (23-50, 6th in National League Central). The Pirates are coming off their twelth straight loss, and with the loss of Cy Oldman, their veteran starter, they have been forced to start John Neophyte out of AA. In 23 innings, he's pitched 18 walks with an ERA of 8.84! No wonder the Pirates are in dead last and not moving up.

And there is huge news around the MLB and no it's not the All star game which is currently in the 8th inning. The Angels have just traded for ROBINSON CANO!!!! Going to the yankees are Chien Ming Wang, Joe Beimel, Eric Ayabar and Bobby Wilson.(And every penney the Angels had) which is only 9 million. The only reason that Wang was traded was Chad Billingsley. He has a ERA of under 1 in triple a and will take Wangs place in the rotation. I think this is a great change for the Angels. The Angels new lineup will look like this:
Carl Crawford CF
Howie Kendrick 3B(moved after trades)
Robinson Cano 2B
Manny Ramirez LF
David Ortiz DH
Prince Fielder 1B
Aubrey Huff RF
Mike Napoli C
Brandon Wood SS
And in the rotation Billinglsey will just take Wang's place.
This just in. The National League has won the all star game 8-4. The MVP is Alfonso Soriano.
