Difficulty level question

I'm playing on Coach level...does this have any effect on players accepting contract extentions and signing free agents?

Case in point: At the beginning of the 1973 season I signed Catfish Hunter, and Bob Gibson. In the middle of the season Paul Lindblad accepted a contract offer of three years, even though he says he HATES it in Boston. I've also been able to sign other players to contracts even though they say they hate it in Boston.

Does difficulty level make it easier to sign these guys?

Second question: Do I have to start a new game to increase difficulty level?

Well...I believe a lower diffuclty level does make it easier to sign guys...However, just because a player says he HATES a town, doesn't mean he won't resign, no matter what the difficulyt level. If you're willing to sepnd money, you can ltierally sign any palyer. A player iwll never outright refuse to sign. This has been requested multiple times though.


Second question: Do I have to start a new game to increase difficulty level?
No, go into the League > Options dialog.
