free agency

I am in a 10 day per sim league which is now dated october 30, 2004.
1) How many free agency sims will take place before the season resumes?
2) There are players listed under my contract page with contracts such as "32 points through 2004". Doesn't this mean that this player is now a free agent? This player has an option to resign under the "seeking" column, but is not listed in the league wide free agent pool. If I do nothing will he be transsferred to the free agent pool before the next season begins? Do I need to release this player if i don't want him?

The offseason simulates at 3 times the speed of the regular season, so your league would run 30 simulated days per day.

Has your league's World Series concluded? If the World Series isn't over, then any player asking for a contract extension will become a free agent once the World Series is over if they are not signed. They will automatically be released into the free agent pool.

If your World Series is over, then any player up for contract will have their contract expire at the end of the next World Series (in a year from where you are now). You have until then to negociate and sign them or they will be released as a free agent.
