I am getting a wee bit frustrated. The introduction of the 2002 rosters and other associated changes has introduced a few major problems that are seriously reducing my enjoyment of the game.
1) Starting pitchers pitching randomly in relief.
2) Minor League rookies being generated as all-hitters or all-pitchers
3) A team who spent in the middle of the pack in both scouting and farm gets 5 rookies who have some form of an A for contact and power while I was first for most of the year in farm system get 7 or 8 hitters (but no pitchers) but only one player with an A in both power and contact. I can understand the randomness giving the other team a couple of players with As and my team only getting one but the large disparity especially given the spending on the farm system.
If this is a result of the tangentially alluded to change in the way rookies are distributed (with standings playing a role) in another thread it defnitely seems to unbalance the game play.
(There I feel slightly better after venting.)
