In fastsim15, three of my players (Litvak (1B), Toca (3b), Ordonez (SS)) completely vanished from the league when the free agent period started. I'm pretty sure this has happened at least once before, but I think that time it was just a minor play so I didn't care. Now, I think it could completely ruin the league. Help!

I think the same thing has happened in Beta 74; I have the Florida team there. The season has ended and two players I didn't re-sign (Derrek Lee 1B and Sidney Ponson SP) aren't on the free agent list nor do they show up in a search under Find Players. They seem a little young for retirement -- if that option from the CD game is in place in the on-line game.

As you can see in this thread (http://forum.sportsmogul.com/showthread.php3?s=&threadid=798), the Baseball Mogul free agent pool (both CD and online) only has room for 70 batters and 70 pitchers. Until this is expanded, I'm working on AI to improve WHICH players retire and which stay in the database.

I had a similar situation in FastSim 24. After Robin Ventura's contract expired, I let him go to free agency. I had trouble finding a replacement 3B, so I wanted to see what he was demanding. I couldn't find him in the free agent list, so I searched to see who signed him. He was nowhere to be found.

Maybe you could just eliminate the players looking for the least amount of money. I ended losing a 20-year old with A average and A+ power -- a huge blow since I had traded several other prospects to get him. He was asking for 101 million per year
before season ended, so I figured I would try to wait him out
on the open market :(
I mean, this game is ridiculously fun, so hopefully bugs like
this will get worked out.

I used to do exactly that, but it meant that 20-year-old future stars with no playing time got eliminated because they were asking for less money than the 38-year-old all stars.
There should be an improved version up before week's end.

I had thought of that but I couldn't see any other way to make it happen. I guess that's why you're in charge. Thanks for paying attention to complaints so closely.

ya, in fastsim 4, dirk stein (around 23 years old, asking for around 50 points, A or B+ everything, starting pitcher) was somehow eliminated.
