Trying to upload the latest files for my card packs and I got this message.

robinhoodnik, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons: 1. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system? 2. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.
It worked about 24 hours ago.

I can upload individual jpeg pictures, but not zip files.

Weird. Is the file a duplicate of one that you've already uploaded or anything like that? Check your user control panel, under attachments, maybe theres a message there or something.

No. Not a duplicate. I removed the old zip file, posted the new ones then removed the new ones a day later and tried to post the two new zips, which wouldn't go.

Heres a copy of the message that I get.

All options are "you may" in the posting rules drop down. Only the IMG code is off.

Yea... it should work. works for me, apparently...

how much space does it say that your using? I don't think that there's a limit (and if there is, it's gotta be pretty large), but maybe there is.

I guess we'll just have to wait for Dee to come along, and see if she can figure anything out.

7.63 limit on zips. I may be having some p.c. issues though. I just redid the folders for the 8th time and realized that the math isn't adding up. I split a folder into thirds and now #3 is showing 5.97 MB, #2 is showing 8.18 MB, the original is showing 11.7. The stated original folder MB before the splits was just over 18 MB.
Yep, that's it. My machine is screwed up. It's putting out wrong numbers for folder sizes.

huh, strange. At least the problem is narrowed down though.

You're using XP, right? Is the Indexing thing turned on? Open the Search folder, click "Change Preferences", and click the "with Indexing Service" item to find out. The index files are hidden and system files, and they can become quite large. If you have those files hidden, you won't see them and it can look like the folder sizes are being reported incorrectly in windows.

Also, I think that the sizes are different depending on where you look. Some are rounded so that a megabyte = 1,000,000 bytes, and some are correctly calculated with 1MB = 1048576 bytes. That makes a huge difference when you get up into the multi megabyte sizes, you know?

Yeah, XP with a new machine. My last posts were done with my old machine. Looks like I'm going to be checking all of my settings and making some adjustments. Every time I redo the sets I get different results as to file size. I take the first third of the files (approx. 6 MB) and it displays a change of -1MB to the original file. Bill Gates be d@mned for this infernal Windows program!

well, I'm willing to offer whatever help I can.

What are you using to create the zip files? And what's actually telling you the file sizes, Windows itself in an explorer window?

Right click and send to zip. Holding the cursor over the file to get the file size info.
Last time I used MGI photosuite for the most part to cut and crop the pics then went to irfan to batch them all to 160x200, send them as a batch to the correct folder, and do the resample. This time I'm still using irfan for the batch conversions but I now have Jasc paintshop 8 for the crop, rotate, rename functions. I'm guessing that something in the Jasc program isn't working correctly. So I'm going to try and get myself another copy of MGI photosuite. Maybe Jasc and Irfan just don't play nicely together. :(

Ah, that makes sense. It probably does have something to do with paintshop, although that's always been known to be a good program. I know irfanview, and that wouldn't be the problem. Maybe there's a setting somewhere in paintshop pro, but I couldn't tell you where or anything...
