I was told if there is too much cash in team's pockets overall attendance drops...is that true? (Even for equalized league?..)

Thanks for your time!

Not quite. The AI checks the average team cash total for the league and determines if it is higher or lower than normal to keep the finances in check. The average cash is around 75 pts...if it gets lower (the average is less than 0) or higher (average is more than 150), the game automatically reduces or raises attendance slightly and slowly over time to make sure the finances don't spin out of control.

So, if each team has 999 cash, attendance will go down. If they all have -999 cash, attendance will go up.

Tom

This is quite interesting!

I was trying to save up to build a super large covered stadium (Excellent all around, 100,000 seats). The cost was 3,100 points.

My revenue fell dramatically and I got into a financial pinch. Well!

I guess my solution then is just to SPEND all my money on long term contracts or a somewhat smaller stadium. (CD ROM version).

The drop in revenue was quite dramatic. I got quite bummed. Could not figure out why the fans were deserting me. I had a good team, after all!

Thanks!

I clarified my above post; check my post at http://forum.sportsmogul.com/showthread.php3?s=&postid=51584#post51584

Attendance does not increase or decrease JUST for the team with a little or a lot of cash, but increases or decreases gradually for the entire league.

Here's a quick example:

I open up BBM 2k3. With Anaheim, my projected revenue is 462. Arizona's projected revenue is 508.

The average league cash is 101.13

After adding cash, the league cash average is 201.13 (I added cash to Arizona, Atlanta, Baltimore, Boston, Chicago A and Chicago N)

Now Anaheim's projected revenue is 426. Arizona's projected revenue is 461.
