Unable to advance to post season free agent negotiation.

Debug file attached. It has the "1172350329 ERROR: Negative nPlayer in Get_Player_Pointer(40,-1) from ()" - repeated possibly thousands of times.

It goes to whitescreen and "not responding"

Just had a very similar problem. In a game that I just started, I received thousands of these errors:

1172930144 ERROR: nEvent too high in Append_Play_Summary() G->Events=256

and

1172930144 ERROR: Unexpected nResult in Get_Hit_Location: 10

Then, at the end of the file there is this:

1172930285 ERROR: nEvent too high in Append_Play_Summary() G->Events=256
1172930317 Warning: Text: 0.000s / 0.080s
1172930317 Warning: Main: 95.447s / 26.718s
1172930317 ERROR: Memory leak detected.!
1172930317 Warning: Exiting Baseball Mogul 2008

It goes to whitescreen and "not responding"Ditto. Couldn't find anything interesting in my debug.txt, though.

There weren't any "ERROR:" lines at all?

This particular hang bug needs to be a priority fix. Everything else is window dressing.

The debug file shows no errors at all. I attached a screenshot to show that the program isn't even trying.

With this particular build I was able to advance through a few seasons the first time I tried it. But a second try brought back the old reliable "end of season hang" bug.

The problem is not present if I have no unsigned players at the end of the season.

I'm having a similar problem with crashing before or during the post-season player negotiations and there aren't any "ERROR:" lines in the debug file. I do, however, have the saved game from just after the playoffs and have determined which player on my team is causing it to crash. I tried to attach the saved game here but got an error saying "invalid thread specified".

Edit: After playing a couple of more seasons, I figured out that it's only happening when I have players with Team Options on their contracts, the game is crashing when it should be asking me if I want to pick these options up.

ah, cool. Clay and Ian could use that file, for sure.

To attach the file, click the Edit button on your post, or click "Go Advanced" on the quick reply box, and then use the "Manage Attachments" button on the posting page. That will allow you to upload a file to the forums. There are more detailed instructions located in the thread How To Post A Screen Shot (http://forum.sportsmogul.com/showthread.php?goto=newpost&t=71957).

Yeah, I've tried that. If I try to add it to a new post, the file finishes uploading then it says "Invalid Post specified. If you followed a valid link, please notify the administrator" and if I try to add it to my existing post it says "datajosh, you do not have permission to access this page."

Humm... well, you could email it directly to them. That may be best, actually.

Be sure to give them a decent description of what's going on, of course.

Alright, I sent it to them. Hopefully that helps with getting the bug fixed.
