Just something I noticed, I know it as brought up but I am not entirely sure it as addressed, I know the ratings are slightly screwy, but I see when fictional rookies are introduced in the game their Overall ratings do not correspond with their actual ratings, while historical rookies do have their overall corresponding with their ratings. So my question is, has this been addressed for 10.0x?

I don't quite understand what you're saying here. There isn't a separate system for historic vs. fictional players, aside from the fact that historic players receive their potential stats from Lahman, while fictional rookies get theirs generated.

I think Konnan is asking whether or not the bug in the calculation of fictional rookies' overall has been fixed in the current beta.

That is exactly what I am asking, sorry for the confusion, when I type things they make sense to me haha, What I was saying, if we start a season year 1991 the following draft class will have all the draft eligible players and hen you look at the amateur draft screen their overall ability displayed "looks" like that could be it, but if you have it so fictional rookies are draft eligible, their overall ability is like a 92 and their actual abilities look like crud.

Yah sorry about that, it doesn't help when my keys don't work properly...long story...and the fact my sentence structure is crud, but you see what I mean though, how historical rookies look like rookies with rookie stats, but fictional rookies look like superstars with rookie stats

ah, found it. It wasn't in it's own thread, which is why I was having trouble locating it.

2 - In '07 these Free Agents where always pretty much useless 63/63 34 year old career major leaguers... AT BEST. In 9.63 however there are some heavy duty good players which could take the place of legit Historical Major Leaguers. The screen shot below illustrates this point perfectly. Notice the pitchers in particular.

This thread is as good as any, and better than most, to be representative of this issue. Let me move it back...

I have #1 scouting, draft predictability is 100%. Yet the Peak/Overall ratings for this player (among others) doesnt really seem to make sense given his indiv. pitcher ratings. Any suggestions?

I don't have any suggestions, but it's been reported at least.

I think that this is still a problem in 10.07. I'm not really sure though. I don't see any examples as blatant as the above, I'll show y'all my example and let you guys help decide. Example below:

Those look like they'd be right, but I'm still getting the fictional rookies generated incorrectly, well just the fictional pitchers that is, having their overall say 92 with a potential of 96 when their endurance is high 80's, control/power/movement are all less than 60's...so yah...still in 10.07

OK, cool. I was thinking that he was good as well, but that's only from one year, and I was just looking around in general.

I'm into year 2011, and I just noticed this (and coincidentally just upgraded from 10.03 to 10.07) - a lot of the draftee ratings are way too high.

I drafted a player rated 97/97 in the late first round, now this guy is available in the second:

I also noticed that the ratings are +/- 0, although I've never adjusted the default scouting budget.

I believe the ratings updating correctly (that is, matching the "sub-ratings") was fixed in a previous version.

The absurdly talented fictional rookies are being removed in 10.08.
