I tried out the 2008 beta for the first time, the rating +/- on the scouting page seems very extreme. I pay my scouts the most compared to any other team, and my rating +/- is still 9. Is this by design in 2008? It seems to get better at lower difficulty levels to +/- 1 on fan.

It takes time. Just pushing your scouting expenses to number one won't automaticlaly make your +/- number better. It slowly gets better over time.

I have a question. I bought this game a few months ago and love it. I am still trying to figure out the little things in the game. Example: the check boxes in the lineup screen. I didnt know those were used to lock players in their spots. Now I see this +/- thing. So what does this mean exactly? Does this mean that your overall/peak can go up by nine ? And is there a manual or anything where I can find out about the details like this in the game? Thanks everyone. Keep up the OUTSTANDING products!!

And is there a manual or anything where I can find out about the details like this in the game?Just the help file, which may be a tad outdated in a couple of areas.

+/- 9 is quite a big margin. If I were you I'd raise the amount of money you have put into scouting.

Yeah the manual is a bit outdated, so there is a few things in there that have changed.

Which in my view is more realistic. Just because your shelling out 25,000,000 in scouting shouldn't make you a great scout, especially if (in theory) you still have the crappy scout staff. (I know you don't hire scouts in the game, but work with me here lol.) The more the money stays with the scouting program, the better and more efficient it becomes.
