I was shocked when I attempted a field goal snapping from the 26 yard line and the play-by-play reported that my kicker missed a 51-yarder! Since then I've noticed that when you're kicking into a significant headwind, say 8+ mph, the PBP seems to add yardage. This is fairly reasonable in terms of odds of making it, but it should not be recorded that way for the game stats.
