How about the ability to do a 3 or 4 team multi-trade.
for example
Team A gets a vetern SS from Team B
Team B gets a back end of rotation type pitcher and cash from Team C
Team C gets a couple of decent prospects from team A
The rest is other musings about Sports Mogul BB and is a not related to the main topic which is multi-team trades.
I would also love to see (while I am at it)
-merchandise revenue - lots of success or WS titles = more shirts hats etc sold. The presence of "thumbs up" players also boosts merchandise income.
- managers (there has been threads like this in the past) I think this must be the next step in the evolution of this game
- make it possible to also trade draft picks for the next season or future seasons
options on how a league is set up
- toggle options of salary cap (user setting cap)
- toggle option of a luxury tax (with the user setting the threshold)
- toggle option of revenue sharing (I know that equalize cities is similar) but I like having this option as well so that there can be differences between cities and yet revenue sharing to help even out playing field.
-with BBM 2008 there is a city name logo in the corner with traditional city colours. Would it be possible to have the option to have a choice of colour and city name. If you make up a team from a non-traditional city, to have for example Indianapolis appear in the corner in two colours that you could choose from a pallate. Not a biggie, just wondering.
A MAJOR nit-pick of mine
I still don't like that Toronto is listed with such low avg fan income. Despite what others have said (I have raised this point in the past) dollar difference doesn't mean anything. First exchange rates varies a lot over time, second both wages/prices in Canada are as a rule higher. A BigMac costs more, but the avg wage is also higher. Taxes are higher, but there is more social benefits (i.e. healthcarem so no money out of pocket for health insurance.) etc. It does even out.
The "city" is around 2.5 million with metro at 5.1 million.(2006) It is also listed as the 17th highest city in the world for personal earnings with only NY, LA and Chicago in North America coming ahead of it. (according to citymayors.com)
So, enough of this Toronto being a low income city nonsense.
The Toronto Maple Leafs have one of the highest avg ticket prices in all of professional sports, and every game is sold out for ever. Don't tell me that Toronto is "poor". People can afford to go, they just don't go like they used to. Why?
Fan interest if very fickle. That is where Toronto should be rated poorly. If you are hot and new or very successful you will be all the rage and Hogtowners will show up the bucketfull. (see Skydome attendance from 1989-1994, first team to draw over 4 million) Otherwise Toronto is a one sport town. If it doesn't have a blue and white leaf logo no one cares.
Thoughts on the Stadium ratings
Skydome (ie Rogers Center)
Convience-good (right at the hub of subway/transit system, DOWNTOWN, but little parking. A true mass transit park)
Comfort - average (sterile atmosphere, but in good shape, still very high tech feel with recent improvements. They never went for retro here)
Sightlines - fair (no obstructions, but the 100 level is at a waaayyyyy to low of an angle. 2nd deck is great, 5th deck has a steep angle for good viewing, but it is wayyyy up there, nose bleed country. 3rd and 4th are press boxes and other things)
Capacity - 50,598
I'm certain other fans of other cities/teams will also want the stats of their home clearer as well. (assuming that BB Mogul doesn't already have good stats on the other towns/stadiums.)
If you read this far, wow. I was up late and wanted to rant.
Love BBMogul, can't wait to purchase a copy of 2008 on the shelf.
