I've recently left Intel, so I'm doing a job search.
I'm an electronics technician/mechanic with 10 years experience between the US Navy and Intel. I'm willing to move anywhere in the country, so if you know of a position or if you know anyone that may know of a position feel free to let me know.

I've attached my resume. You're all welcome to take a look, even if just to review it. I'm pretty terrible with resumes, so if anyone has any comments or constructive criticism to make, feel free.

Good job, Ohms...very impressive resume'...you're even more accomplished than I estimated you to be!

Coupla questions,,,there are red squiggles under the words "Laboon" and "Huntron", as if the wordchecker were querying their spelling...this does not look like "Word" text, and I'm wondering why those squiggles didn't disappear when you transferred them from your WP to your post, as do my squiggles when I transfer from "Word . Said squiggles might puzzle a prospective employer.

I (only half-jokingly) suggest that you provide a link to these forums within your resume...I'm sure that any prospective employer would be impressed with your know-how; your leadership; and your literary output; (Almost 10,000 posts in less than nine months...wow! )

On the other hand, perhaps not - mebbe the P.E. would say "Whenever did he find time to do his day job?":)

Well, Ohms, I hope that my observations are helpful...they're small return for the many kindnesses, and much forbearance that you've shown this crotchety old man.

I know that your many friends in this forum, will wish you, as I do, the best of luck in your job search.

Please keep us informed - no doubt you will search the web?

When I view the document, it opens using Microsoft Word, which is why the squiggles still show. They won't show on a printed copy.

Can't say I can be of much help ohms, but I wish you luck :)

You're quite welcome. :)

Northrop Grumman @ Chantilly would be a great place for you: close enough to DC for its cultural events (and Nats games at RFK) yet far enough away that the cost of living isn't so high.

Hey, ohms, you a Navy vet or were you a civillian employee? If you're a vet, I recently heard of an employment website that's only available to veterans.
