Ok, I need as many opinions/facts as soon as possible on this. My ace SP is still in need of one days rest but I'm down in the World Series 2-1. I want to get this back home for the last 2 games so a win in game 4 is a must. Has anyone done this and if so with what kinds of results?

I've done it with mixed results. I would say if you are only down 2-1, go with the well rested pitcher. You ace will still pitch game 5 and then you can bring back early for game 7 if necessary.

In the single player game i started my #1 pitcher on 2 days rest. He pitched a complete game with 123 pitches allowing 4 hits walking 2 and striking out 4. He had 4 complete games that postseason in 5 starts. He won 24 games and had 25 somplete along with 11 shutouts. He won the Cy Young, MVP, and Rookie of the year.
