Is it possible & where in the ini files can i edit the Text color of the 7 buttons at the bottom of the main menu screen (Calendar, standings, finance, leaders, headlines, playoffs, transactions)

newscolors.ini is the file you want

I was looking around to see if I could figure out which key's set the text color for those particular buttons, but couldn't find it. I have to admit that I didn't look that long though...

The background color (the blue) is part of the overall background graphic. Edit Summary.png to change that.

I have tried a a bunch of the things in the ini to no avail as i said before but because I wanted to change the button pic file that is the reason I wanted to change the text color.
