As far as contracts go, if a contract says 28 points through 2008, is that 28 points a year, or 28 points spread out over the duration of the contract? Secondly, with Auto-Sort, does that really help? In my experience, it has to a certain extent, but I've found that by tinkering with the line-up that the computer suggests can actually help your team. ie, you find that some guys "like" hitting lead-off better and their stats improve in this position. Just a couple of questions to improve my enjoyment of the game.
Thanks to those who can help, or just want to add to the thread,
Shawn

Hi, Shawn -
The 28 points you refer to is 28 points every year of his contract. So a 3 year contract for 28 points would cost you a total of 86 points by the time it expired.
And the auto-sort feature -- well, it does the job as best it can. But sometimes there is no replacement for human intuition. The computer applies some rules that generally make a good lineup, but there are always situations that we didn't take into account when we created the program.
Thanks for playing,
-James

Thank you very much for getting back to me, James! Those answers will suffice. :) I don't want there to be any hard feelings over the whole Auto-sort thing. I think its a good tool to get an idea of how the line-up should be. I use it a lot in Fast Sim, because you can get a feel for how guys hit in the position they are Auto-sorted into in only a few hours. Then you can shuffle the line-up a bit to get it just the way you want it. Thanks for the answers and keep up the great work. This game is awesome. It has become my new obsession! :D
