Experienced League?

I was thinking about a league that could somehow get all the GMs that have been playing this game for awhile all together in 1 league. Absolutely no beginners or inexperienced GMs. Just Gms who have been dedicated to the game and love playing it everyday. Let me know what you think.

I would be willing, but also would want a commitment from the other league members to stay for a certain number of years.

Yeah, I'd be willing to join such a league provided it weren't slower than molasses... the XBL, maybe? Where the "X" stands for "Xperienced owners?" :)

seems a good idea. as long as it wasn't 60 games a day i'd be interested.

if you base it on the "number of postings league table" that you can see in private messages, you can be sure of getting people who are active and experienced. i can only vouch for their activity and experience at baseball mogul obviously.;)

Thats a great idea gary. And it would be either 20 or 30/day and equalized.

There's a somewhat easy solution to that - run the XBL (or whatever the name ends up being) for 25 years at a clip, then re-set. That way if an owner's getting tired of the same ol', same ol', he can wait for the reset then potentially pick a different team to run.

I'm partial to 60/day also, but I could live with 30/day. Okay, we've talked about it, there's interest... now who's going to take command and actually set this up?

don't we need to gauge interest some more? wouldn't we need to pm all the people high on the posting 'league-table' to gauge their interest? what speed they would want? if they have a space on their account?

I will start it up, soon. There will be a password. 30/day, equalized. Im gonna wait for a few more responses and maybe get this thing going soon. I have emailed many top players and are getting responses back now.

I think communication and use of the forums is more important than experience. It makes things a lot better when you get to know the other owners a bit. Use of IM's would be good. I would be into this league if we make it 30 games, and weekday daily. I have to work too, ya know!

For those interested in a Survivor-type league, Survivor 2 is available. This is based on the 'For A Few Dollars More' concept, where the worst teams each season get booted until 1 is remaining. We've got some top BBMO players already signed up...

The league sounds great! My only reservation is the amount of time it takes and the difference in time zones. I'm thinking about it, but if I don't join, it's not because I don't want to.
