Newbie questions...

I joined a league last Friday. It was in the middle of the "winter" at the time. We're now in March 2003.

Question - When will the schedules, etc reset for the new season? Do the Spring training stats only show up at the end of spring training?

When do free agents finally sign?

I guess I'm just getting a little impatient waiting for something to happen.

Free agent sign at each simulation once they receive a contract that satisfies them (the bar turns green).

New spring traning stats are available on April 1, when the schedules and everything are reset to the new season.

If you want I faster paced league, I suggest joining a Super-Fast league that simulates 60 games per day.

Thanks for the quick response.

Couple more questions.

It's now March 30. Will it stop before the regular season games and let us make decisions, sign last minute free agents and set line-ups (also check Spring training stats) before playing regular games. Or will it just start playing games?

Also, will Free Agents hold out into the season if you haven't met their demands or will they finally just take the highest offer?

The simulation will stop on April 1 for you to set your lineups for the new season.

Any player who does not have a green bar will not sign with a team, and will remain a free agent until someone signs him (once the season is underway, it is a first come, first serve free agent system without bidding. The free agent sets a price they are willing to sign for and you can either take it or leave it.)
