About time they have something to protect our guys. All the money we waste in Iraq, at least this actually benifits us.

Thats a pretty steep figure in my opinion, most of the casualties are ground based troops generally not in vehicles at the time.

Are you sure about that? I don't have access to any actual figures, but there's been quite a few deaths brought about by roadside car bombs taking out hum-vees and trucks. I can remember seeing some officers giving testimony to Congress that the transportation infrastructure was the primary target of the insurgents and terrorists.

Although Ive never been to the areas where your troops are stationed, I can only talk about what I have seen and done out there.

Already attached to the convoys are infinately better equipment than we initially went in with, there are a number of anti bomb devices usually attached to the front of the vehicles anyway.

I feel that the new, more advanced vehicles, would be really advantageous over in Afghanistan where the infrastructure of the roads isnt really in place.

Okay.. yes the new batch will save lives, but I cant see it being 70%.
