Some of the things I do to make the FM2007 game more challenging are:
Every draft I edit the top 4 draft picks of each round to their peak ratings so they are better players right away for their teams. I also edit their initial contract lengths to 7 years so they will play longer for that team unless they are traded which sometimes happens. Also I edit the over aged free agents ( the free agent players that have just left college but are 40 years old the game sometimes generates) back to the age of 21 and back to an overall rating of at least 75 if need be.
