Team names........silly issue yes....but if I wanted to read that **** that they have for some of those names then I would go pick up a copy of PlayBoy........

The team name of Oakland is F***** losers...Could some one at least edit this name.?I geuss I wouldn't complain too much, but that team follows mine on all the screens(NYY). Thanks in advance.

Sadly it seems that the simple task of giving us the chance to rename a team to what ever we like is abused by other players.
In the leagues that I play in there is at least one jerk in each league that has desided to name thier team something that pushes the bill at the very least for what is exceptable. I hope staff does look into this an desides that it is time for the underlings to go..........

Why not just go with the REAL team names? We want the REAL player names don't we? It would make the headline section much more easier to understand. Now I have to go to the Team Owner page every other headline just to try and see who it is talking about.

I prefer to see LA Dodgers as oppossed to LA Smack-a-lacious Yip Parade. And yes that was an original creation.

I realize there are likely separate licenses required for you to use actual team names. One possible way around this is to have the team names set by a designated Commissioner (or Admin) who is responsible for setting up league parameters.

I understand that being able to name your team whatever you want is not really all that important to most folks. But all of my teams are named for old USFL football teams, as I am for some reason obsessed with this defunct league. I guess the point I'm trying to make is that you shouldn't "punish" the majority based on an immature (albeit vocal) minority that don't have half a brain in their heads. I'm sure a screen could easily be set up that screens out any obscenities and can be easily updated as "clever folks" find a way around it, ie by spelling the work just a little differently.

I have fixed three names.

FastSim 39 - Florida --> Florida Cruisers
FastSim 39 - Anaheim --> Anaheirm Devils
FastSim 4 - Oakland --> Oakland Gladiators


Let me know if these guys change their name to something else offensive.

Currently we give people a rating based on the number of teams they have quit. It may be that we have to add user feedback ratings so that other users can give bad feedback. (Although then these guys would just badmouth innocent people.)

We are looking into the powers that a league commissioner would have, and changing team names would probably be one of them.
