During the offseason FA signing period the players demand less money as the season draws closer. During that time the "sign bar" increases closer to the full green necessary to sign the player without ever having to increase the offer. What happens to the players who never reach "full green"? Will they sign for the highest offer on the table, or do they go into the season as free agents. If they go into the seasonas free agents, do they demand the same amount as in the final days of the offseason?
Thanks,
Zimm

Zimmer,
Any player who does not have a green bar on March 31 will stay as a free agent for the season, and can be signed through the regular first come-first serve system that is used during the season.
In fact, they will usually ask for significantly more money on April 1 than they would sign for on March 31. For instance, a player might want 20 pts for a 1 year contract on March 31, but then will want 35 pts for a contract for 1 year on April 1.
Their contract demands will decrease significantly throughout the season, so a player wanting 35 pts for 1 year on April 1 might want 15 pts for 1 year on September 15.
Hope this helps!
Tom
