This may already be a feature that I haven't yet found. If so, sorry. If not, I would really love to be able to see Team All-Time Leaders. I know in the encylopedia it shows Team Single Season All-Time Leaders. But, I mean Team Career leaders. Its always neat to watch a game and see "so and so just moved up to fifth place on the all-time list for home runs for the Cubs." etc.. Would be cool in the BM2009 or whatever. Thanks.

I Totally agree with this. I don't think it is an option this year but would love to see it added.

In the encyclopedia, you can see All-time team leaders. Go to any single team's leaderboard, and switch the year to "All Years" from the drop down menu in the upper right.

It would be nice to have team leaders (both SS and all time) in the actual game though.

There may be something wrong with my encylcopedia, or we may be talking about two different things. On my encylcopedia, when I select Senators, and select All-Years, it gives me the top 10 (or how ever many) single season records. For example, under Home Runs, it says 1) Frank Howard, 48, 1968, 2) Frank Howard, 44, 1969, etc. etc.

What I would like to see, and in the encylcopedia would be OK with me, but it would be more fun in game, would be All-Time Team career records. Such as Frank Howard hit 324 HR for the Senators, 2nd place Harmon Killebrew with 212, etc. etc. Like that.

Then yea, there's something wrong with your encyclopedia. Or, more accurately, your browser. which browser are you using?

Internet Explore, 6.0, Windows XP SP2. So what am I doing wrong???
As you see, with Senators selected, and All Years Selected, it gives me single season leaders, not career leaders.

I haven't used the encyclopedia feature in awhile, but I seem to recall this being an issue for me too.

Personally, I'd like to see Clay do away with the encyclopedia. I don't really want all those html pages taking up space on my hard drive and it just seems to me to be a clunky, unnecessarily difficult way to go about gathering data. In its place I'd like to see a report writer feature that allows you to customize what data you want to pull from the statistics archive. For example, if I wanted to see what my team's top 10 alltime ERA leaders are, with at least xxx innings pitched, and separate starters from relievers, or compare their won-loss records, I could do it quickly and easily without having to go through the process of updating the encyclopedia. We already have a little bit of this functionality in the Find Players feature; I think that feature could probably be expanded to allow for more customization.

It's hard to say for sure, but you do need to allow the pages to use "Active content from the hard drive". There is an options that you need to enable to allow that, in Internet Options under the Advanced tab, as pictured below:

Rather than doing away with the encyclopedia completely (which isn't likely at all, since Clay has stated that it's sort of a pet project of his), the creation interface could be expanded so that you can more easily pick and choose what information is exported. Some sort of auto-update would be cool as well, in my opinion. Actually, I'd like to see the box scores and game recaps added to the actual encyclopedia as well. Imagine having not only team and individual player stats, but all of the box scores and recaps from 100 years of baseball! Granted it would be absolutely huge, but I think it would be pretty cool.
;)

Oh man, I changed that, I changed everything I know to change. The thing is I'm pretty ignorant as far as computers is concerned. If anyone else is reading this and can help an Old Fat Guy, please post. I would REALLY LOVE to be able to see team all-time career records, and I have NO CLUE what I'm doing wrong.

It does not and will not output career leaders for teams. I don't know exactly what Ohms is talking about because I have read many threads on here suggesting the same thing. It will show you career leaders for the entire league, not break them down team by team.

You could get Firefox (http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/) and try it in that. I've never had issues with the encyclopedia, and I use FF.

Ok, so Ohms and I are talking about something different. Thought that may be a problem, as I didn't think I was doing anything wrong.

Back to my original post then, if programmers are still taking suggestions for BM2009 or whatever, I, for one, would LOVE to see team all time career records, and in the encylopedia would be good enough.

EDIT: BUT NOT AT THE EXPENSE OF LOSING TEAM ALL-TIME SINGLE SEASON RECORDS !!!. Like those too :)
