View Full Version : 11.04 IBB not credited in Player mode
I've noticed this a few times now, and figure I should probably mention it. Not had a chance to see if it is the same in the 10.25 series, as I have problems with those patches.
I've intentionally walked a batter (drop down box; intentional walk), and my pitcher's pitch count goes up by 4, the batter walks as expected. However, it doesn't say that it was an intentional walk, nor does it be counted as one in his stats.

Manager or player mode?
LOL. Meant the PBP as in pitch by pitch :P So player mode.

Just to narrow it down, I' intentionally walked a player in MANAGER mode, and it was correctly noted in the play-by-play dialogue, as well as being added to the scouting report, so this is a PLAYER mode only bug.
Any more news on this front? Always happens to me in pitch by pitch

I'll see about trying it on 10.25K. I only walk people by on accident not IBB so I've never noticed.

Just ran a simulation thru the first inning, my guys batted first and preformed the inning in Manager mode. Bottom of the inning my pitcher came on and I intentionally walked the first batter using the drop down box from the pitcher to select this option. I check the players stats before ( 0 IBB ) and after ( 0 IBB ) so the bug is still there.
Not I FINISHED to the end of the game and there was also no stat change due to this.
Also the box score does not show any IBB's (Not sure if it does otherwise but not showing this particular case)

I used manager mode to get thru my hitters quickly. I then switched to PBP mode and gave the IBB. It was not recorded when done in PBP mode. After I gave the IBB I hit the finish button and checked the stat card, no dice.

Alright, so, yeah, IBB's are correctly recorded in MANAGER mode, but not in PLAYER mode.
Man, pitch-by-pitch and play-by-play having the same abbreviation is really getting annoying. Both player and manager mode are considered play-by-play, but only player is considered pitch-by-pitch, so it gets confused when people say PBP and don't specify the mode. >_<
Aye! Let's lynch Clay! Hehe

Suggestion: we could always call pitch-by-pitch "Throw-by-throw" or TBT!

Or just simply..Player.

Player mode is much better. PBP is simply using the Play-By-Play interface.
That's the way that I look at it, anyway.

Same here, which is why I get confused

Yep me too. To me PBP is an interface, Manager or Player is a mode of that interface.

Still happens in 11.04
Additionally, by looking at the game recap, you can see that selecting "Intentional Walk" in PBP Player mode doesn't score the plate appearance correctly at all. In the attached game recap, Art Kusnyer was Intentionally Walked using player mode. In the first Inning of the game, I intentionally walked the first batter in Manager mode, and it correctly shows "Jose Ortiz was intentionally walked."
