Ive found it very easy to trade a coupla briefly high rated nobodies for the likes of Steve Carlton. Ive also purchased players ,Mike Schmidt, outright for a cool million.

any chance of maybe "marking" real world HOF players / all time greats so that the ai knows to give them a bit more weight and fight for a "great" in return ?

I find using all fictional players to be beyond me still.
that may be the mode i need to use.
or set up a few of my own house rule's .

maybe the alien gm and the dolphin gm aint so smart after all ? :D

The problem with that is that just because these players were HOF's in real life, doesn't mean that they'll be that good, or even good at all, in the game.

I have no idea what that means, but I loved reading it.

yes , i understand. and am happy for the randomness.
ive seen a few real world HOF players fall off the map in BB and understand why. so far , however, most of the hof players have at least performed reasonably well

Still , the ease with which i can trade up is a bit much.

whether its old overpaid players in their final year or
a sudden spike in ratings from a career minor leauger,
or just plain cash, i am consistently able to trade "up"
and get players that far outperform what i gave away.

so much so that i regularly try to dump off overpaid useless players on my division opponents while stealing their up and coming talent in order to mess with their revenue and profit margins. often times these players end up in the other temas minor league system or batting .058 off the bench....

ive only been playing a coupla months, so
it either way too easy to bilk the ai out of talent,
or
i am the amazing creskin and with but a few exceptions have somehow managed to get the rw hof'ers who outproduce their rw selves in BBM.
yes, at mogul level.

i somehow doubt the latter. :D

The AI's weaknesses are why I force restrictions on myself, and don't take advantage of it. I only make deals that are realistic.

LOL - surely im not the only one who has seen these guys...

i started this leaugue in 1914.
as the years passed the images for the ai team's gm's changed.
one of the newer gm's is a dolphin, another is an alien.
one of em is now simply blank,
the rest are human beings.

i tried takin a screenie but one cant click on it
when the gm popup is open.

------

ah thanks for those links guys !
sounds like i either need to set up my own house rules
or just use fictional players.
