Whoa, this is ridiculous.

Whomever is in charge of the NY Pinstripes (yankees) is taking control of the other teams and taking ALL of the good players for nobodies.

"Boston - The Blue Sox and Pinstripes agreed to an eight player deal that will send starting pitcher Pedro Martinez, starting pitcher Hideo Nomo, closer Derek Lowe and reliever Rod Beck to New York in exchange for starting pitcher Ted Lilly, starting pitcher Spence Chau, reliever Jay Tessmer and reliever Darrell Einerts"

Convenient that the team is now computer managed, whereas before, it was a person.

also look at this:

"The Boston Blue Sox traded left fielder Troy O'Leary and right fielder Manny Ramirez to the New York Pinstripes in exchange for second baseman Luis Sojo, catcher Jim Leyritz and second baseman Alfonso Soriano"

I HAD TO TRADE almost all my prospects to other teams, ESPECIALLY computer controlled teams to get my team, and this guy just has the good luck to get every good Atlanta and Boston player?

He's not even making the trades look a bit legitimate.

It seems that if a human player doens't access his team for so long a time, it reverts back to computer control, then this fruitcake takes control of the team with a slave account and trades away all the best players, all the points, for nobodies.

another example:

"Atlanta - Thanks to a four-person deal worked out between the Georgians and the Pinstripes, third baseman Chipper Jones and right fielder Brian Jordan will be headed to New York. In return, Atlanta picks up shortstop D'Angelo Jimenez and first baseman Nick Johnson"

and

"Atlanta - The Atlanta Georgians traded starting pitcher Tom Glavine, starting pitcher John Smoltz and reliever Mike Remlinger to the New York Pinstripes in exchange for starting pitcher Orlando Hernandez, reliever Mike Buddie and reliever Randy Choate"

and

"Georgians and Pinstripes management worked late into Wednesday night hammering out the details of a trade involving two different players. New York will be sending starting pitcher Brian Boehringer to Atlanta in exchange for starting pitcher Greg Maddux"

I mean, this guy didn't even make the trades CLOSE to being realistic.

This is a perfect example of someone taking advantage of this setup. Actions should be taken against the user who controls the ny pinstripes in league: beta 128

Well, at least we can be pretty certain that once the game goes live and people have to pay for access, that person won't be playing. It isn't much consolation, but what can you do.

Yeah, hopefully when the game goes live and they start billing, people will think twice about spending 2x as much money for 2 accounts just to cheat. Now that I think about it, they'd need 2 credit cards as well, so hopefully it will be much harder to cheat. Plus it will be easier to spot and eliminate the cheaters since credit cards aren't as easy to get a hold of a new email accounts.

Now that I think about it, they should ask for everyone's credit card number now, and only allow one account per credit card, and just not charge us until the beta is done.

I'm sure all of that will help. But I mean, it's easy enough to get a decent team as it is. Granted, it may be considered an "exploit" at this moment (which will help the development team fix the problem also!) is by trading to/from a computer-run team.

Basically, it's like this (for those that havne't noticed) say the boston redsox were computer-operated in yoru league, and you really, really wanted manny and pedro, but when you trade, they say they are looking for a starting first basemen, relief pitcher, and left fielder.

Basically, go to the free agent area, sign as many players per position that are desired by the computer, put 12+ players in the trade, throw in a few points, and voila, you get yoru players for basically nothing (you may need to throw in a couple decent players form your team, but nothing like if you were dealing with a human player.

BUT.....

That doesn't mean what the jackass in my league did was right.

Trading EVERY top-notch player from Atlanta AND boston to the Yankees (like they need extra help) which causes two problems.

1) His team will now be unstoppable. Unless every single player gets injured for years.

2) he prevents other teams from trading for players they want and need (also making other teams weaker, so it's easier for him to succeed)

that's just lame, but it's also just my 2 cents.
