Hi Guys,
I'm a new player of Baseball Mogul 2008 and I'm already totally hooked. I've tried most of the other computer baseball simulations and this one blows the others out of the water. I'm constantly trying to sneak in PBP games at home and at work. I just have a couple of questions/suggestions:

1) When players get injured for extended periods of time, is there a DL? I've just been shoving them into the minors and bringing up a replacement player;
2) I've seen those linedrive outs to the infielders (which I groan at when it's my guy getting a hit stolen from him), but I have not yet seen any baserunners get doubled off a nearby base. Is this possible?;
3) I would love to have the option to pitch a big hitter "carefully" with first base open;
4) Can you add some freak plays and unusual results to add some color and realism?

Thanks again for a great game!

After you make your player moves, AUTOSORT either lineup or minors. DL guys will move to the DL (you have to move them back manually or by autosorting when they are healthy).

[QUOTE=HORST324;848390]Hi Guys,
3) I would love to have the option to pitch a big hitter "carefully" with first base open;

It, sounds as if you're playing "General Manager" or "Manager" in the "Play-by-Play" menu.

For such"big hitter" situations, try switching to the "Player" sub- menu, whereby you can aim each pitch

Aim each pitch at the lower edges and corners, particularly low and away, once you get 2 strikes on the guy, and less than 3 balls, you might get a bonus "out" by selecting his most favoured pitch - click on his scouting report and (urhc) you'll see something like "Curve +15; Change +5" this means that he likes the curve to hit, also the change-up, tho not so much.

Tempt him by aiming his favourite pitch on the low and away corner...if that doesn't work (fouled, say), try the LI corner...if that doesn't work try the "change" on the low edge of the plate.

The idea is to have him swing at bad balls, to get your 3rd strike....why walk him when there's a very good chance that you can get him out, using this method?

Good luck!

but that will also change ALL your players around.

Once you've moved an injured player to the minors, you can just use the "move to" pull down to move him to the DL.

Thanks for the help guys! I didn't realize you can switch game play modes in the middle of a game, so I will switch when I want some careful pitching done. Hopefully I can now help prevent Pujols from killing me like he's been doing so far this season! I also didn't realize that the DL is listed in the minors - I've been looking all over for that thing and I couldn't find any reference to it in the rules. Thanks again.

Yes, Be Careful If You Autosort Everything Just To Put Somebody On The Disabled List. You Won't Enjoy Switching Players Back To Where You Originally Had Them.
