seriously, how many leagues are worth staying in? All of my leagues have been hit hard by dissapearing players, trading with computer teams, etc. Some teams are stacked now, and nobody in their right mind would pay to take one of the "have not" teams.

If the disparity among the teams does not improve, I may not be paying for the game. It is just insane the difference between the large and small markets, and it isn't just due to the quaility of GM.

Boston can maintain 700+ payrolls, while Oakland cannot even get by with a 300 payroll. Oakland cannot even draw fans when they are winning. Certain teams in this game are destined to succeed no matter the skill level of the manager (Boston, Yankees, Atlanta, Cleveland, etc.) It takes extraordinary skill to set farm, and scouting to the max., and overpay for free agents cause you have the money, and don't care. Certain teams are doomed to fail no matter what. Oakland, for example. I am talking long-term success, not just a 2-3 year window right before all your guys swim to free agency because you can't afford to pay anyone a contract above 30 points. You have nobody in your farm system, because you had to cut that and scouting to 0, just to avoid bankruptcy.

It is so true. I play the Yankees because I live in NY. I put 100pts in farm, scout, and medical, and still has the money to manage a team payroll of 600+ pts. I think it would be better off for every player to start at a fair stand.

Definitely in agreement. At least the option should be there to play a "balanced" league. I want to win or lose because I'm better/worse than the other people, not because of a 300 point difference in payroll. It may be realistic, but it's NOT FUN, and I won't pay to play that kind of game.

I mean that to sound harsh, because I really enjoy a lot of things about the game, but the balance issues are a deal-breaker to me. Have the Mogul guys commented on this issue recently?
