I have received PM's from members of this forum on this site and on baseball-fever.com. They both are similar. I'll copy/paste it in a minute.

Hey
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I've seen some of your work here, and I think it is wondeful. So I must ask you a question. I am a part of these forums, and I believe you would be a great addition to the baseball section of it. If you could join and post there, that would be great. Thanks for your patience and sorry if this bothered you.

Hi, I've been reading some of your messages, and I've been pretty impress with your baseball knowledge.
The reason why I am private messaging you is because I have forums of my own, and I am trying to improve my baseball section, and I'd for you to join my forums, and create new threads and reply to current messages. My forums aren't has active as these ones, but I am sure if you give them a chance you'll like them a whole lot.
Sorry if this bothered you because it's not my attention.
Hopefully i'll see ya posting real soon.

PM me the screen names of people who send these, and I'll stop them. Spam of any kind (even via PM's) is not tolerated here.

This is the one I got. I didn't realize that they kept on sending them. I got mine probably two weeks ago. Joined, got bored and left quickly. Dahuse pm'ed me earlier tonight regarding these too. They never posted even once here, just PM'ed. Michael Jordan is one of their mods, and takes a while (days) to respond to PM's.

If you receive any others, temp ban the person for at least 7 days (if not permanently). I don't care if he's really a nice guy or whatever, this isn't an acceptable form of behavior. I'm sure that he wouldn't appreciate it if we joined his forum just to spam his members with Mogul info.
If anyone else receives one of these PM's, please notify one of us. They don't ever need to post on the forums in order to be banned (temporarily or not). The admin control panel will bring up members by screen name, whether they've posted or not.

They also have this terrible "referrals" section in the user profile, which just is so easy to take advantage of...
Any site that measures referrals in the user profile is dumb and should be taken offline because of the sheer stupidity of a forum that promotes spamming other forums.

Yea, typical response from the spam community. "It's not our fault" quickly followed by "you can just ignore it".
pfft, whatever. Like I said (and you quoted), simply leave a reply here or PM me or any of the other moderators with a user name if you receive a PM about joining their board. It's always so much fun playing whack-a-mole with these sorts of people.

If you go through and read some of their sigs, I'd swear it looks like a site for young pedophiles.

We also are getting quite a few that spam viciously, meaning that they make spam...posted by Henskie
They complain about it on their site but they come here with their BS.
And we are not the first to complain about it to them. Another site has had problems with these guys.

LOL
"Because I try to get members to join my forums, if the admin on the forums that I recruit from doesn't like it then he just bans him, and it takes two seconds to do so, so please stop complaining. Half of the members that I do get on these forums like more my forums then the ones I recruited them from. So technically I am doing them a favor."

Hi,
I'm new here, how's it going?
"Buddhism has the characteristics of what would be expected in a cosmic religion for the future: it transcends a personal God, avoids dogmas and theology; it covers both the natural & spiritual, and it is based on a religious sense aspiring from the experience of all things as a meaningful unity" - Albert Einstein

Buddha booted. Banished to the eternity of the BM banned users list cosmos, set walking the starry pathways populated by the vilest posters imaginable, racists, bullies, trolls, and purveyors of potted "pork product".

...we really shouldn't be in the business of publicly stating who has or hasn't been banned, in my opinion. There's something about doing that which I've always found to be distasteful. That's what I didn't reply to this, and I've almost never talked about banning on the forums at all.

Well, in the case of an occasional spammer...........
So far as regular users being canned, that's another thing.
