Well, Guys, I discovered how to publish from 2008 - sort of...now I need to know how to get the boxscores to line up-I did use the # code, but it doesn't line the stats up nearly as truly as it does for sortable stats.:(
Any clues, please?

Use HTML.

You could line it all up in Notepad before pasting it into a message on the forums. Notepad handles spacing basically the same way.
Unfortunately, you need to go through and manually line everything up correctly. It's a PITA, but once you get the hang of it it doesn't take too long to do.

Thank you for that, Ohms...one less reason for me to play 2008!

How so? The 2008 box scores are the same as the 2007 box scores.

Uh-uh, Ohms...you can see the difference with a comparison of my published boxscores of all other teams that I've been running within the Dynasty forum with that single one of the "Forerunners" that I published yesterday.
In BM2007, I can use cut-and-paste to transfer a box-score from the Calendar to a post by first striking the # key above the post...such action produces a pair of bracketed "CODES" within the box, and by inserting the cursor between those two brackets, I can paste a beautifully aligned boxscore within the post.
With BM2008, the attempt to highlight the Calendar boxscore in the usual cut-and-paste method by clicking the SHIFTKEY + downpointing arrow keys. fails, although, oddly, when clicking on the EDIT sub-menu, afterward, the "copy" sign is available for clicking, as is the consequent "paste" sub-menu when one gets to the post site....however, neither of them work! - nothing appears within the post!
To be able to transfer a boxscore (or recap) within BM2008, I've found that, at the source, one has first, within the EDIT menu, to hit the "select all" sub-menu, then click the "copy" sub-menu which appears afterward...then at the target post, the # key is clicked as usual, to create the CODE and the boxscore is posted, and although , obviously, the program tries to line it up properly, it does a very poor job, compared to that of BM2007
Ironically, the publishing of sortable stats in BM2008 is much easier than that of BM2007: with the former, one has only to prune the longer names 0f certain players to make them fit, whereas, with 2007 one has to tinker with the headings line-up as well, to make it readable .
I commend your stoic acceptance of the "PITA" method, Ohms, but, at my age, life's too short for such fiddling about, to make up for the program's shortcomings:mad:

Are you using HTML box scores (in the Options)?

Just had a look...I see that the HTML box is ticked...pardon my ignorance, but what do those letters stand for, anyway? (My guess -Hard To Make Line-up:( )

Hyper Text Transfer Language. It just means that it creates the files as web pages, so they open up in your browser.
For posting on the forums you want to use regular text files, so un-check that box. They the files open up in notepad, just as they did in 2007.

Great...thank you, Ohms.

I second that thank you to Ohms. I've wanted, on about three occasions, to paste a boxscore to a post here, and never could figure out how to do it either, at least in a way that looked readable. Everytime I tried it looked liked garbled junk, something you used to get in the old days when the modems didn't quite hook up in sync. Thank you very much. Man I love to learn this stuff. One of these days I'm gonna figure out all this stuff, course by then we won't have computers, we'll have wireless brain to brain hookups, and I'll be long gone anyways. Still, I do love it when I learn something new.

Oh, you're asking how to post it here. I thought your use of "publish" meant you were asking how to put it on your website. Sorry.

No apologies necessary, Jeff - I should have made myself clearer. I really appreciate your desire to help.
