I recently replayed the 1964 season, where six National League teams were in pennant contention into the very last week of the season. The Giants missed a chance to tie the NL Champ St. Louis Cardinals when Bob Aspromonte hit a HR in the bottom of the ninth inning to eliminate the Giants on the next to the last day of the season.
My team was the Cincy Reds who finished the season tied for third 2.0 GB.
My question is can you play or monitor post season following the season if your team isn't one of the participants? I can not find a way to play post season. Can someone help, please.
I noticed that when playing the 1964 season, the Houston team was referred to as the Astros. In 1964 they were still the Colt 45s and played in mosquito infested Colt 45 Stadium. The Astrodome opened in 1965 and the nickname change occurred in that year.
I'm very impressed with the game and am learning it on the fly.

Yes, there are two options. One, you can switch to the Playoff view (it's a tab along the bottom of the main screen).
Also, you can switch the calendar to one of the teams that have made the playoffs and view their schedules and results that way. The easiest way to do so is to click on the logo area on the right side of the screen. That opens a dialog where you can select the team which you wish to view.

OK, since you're new I'm going to step by step this. Please, I am not trying to "speak down" to you or anything, I'm merely posting every step just in case you're unsure of what or where I'm talking about, OK? :)
At the end of the season, when you look on the playoffs tab, it will show you who's in the playoffs. Once you know who the teams are, go to the calendar for that team. Now, if you're unsure how to switch team calendars, click on the logo in the upper right corner, or on the team name at the top, and a box will appear with all of the teams, and select the playoff team.
Now, if it's only a day or two after the season has completed, the playoffs may still not appear on the calendar. Press "Play One Day" from the Play menu at the top of the screen. You may need to do this a couple of days before the playoff games show up on the calendar. Once they show up on the calendar, right click each playoff game, and you will notice a tiny logo in the upper left corner of the date highlight. This indicates the game is set up to be watched. Then simply click "Play One Day" from the Play menu, and it will take you into the game, where you can watch the action.
Hope this helps, and BTW, on my game, in 1964, they are the Houston Colt 45's, don't know why. I'm using version 10.31, don't know if that matters. Good luck, and welcome to the boards. :D
EDIT: Oh man, sorry, Ohms posted while I was typing. As usual I was long winded, so I apologize for the double reply Ohms. Didn't do it intentionally.
If you wish to play as one of the teams in manager mode, you can do so by going into commissioner mode, in league editor, go to the team you wish to manage and click off "computer" controlled and add a name, initial or whatever, as the control for that team. Exit commissioner, go to calendar and click on the game to play as manager of the team you selected. I often do that when my team doesn't make the playoffs, so to take another team through. If you just want to watch, follow the instructions that Ohms and OFG outlined. Glad to have you on board..enjoy.

Thanks guys, you are all awesome, esp OFG. Thanks for the detailed explanation. The scheduled games didnt appear until I went into the "play one day" mode.
This is a great game, and the boards are even greater---glad to be with you all.
