View Full Version : Why start minors in a division title race?

With three games remaining in the regular season I was one game behind in my division. I had a good oppurtunity to win the division, but Mogul started minor leaguers because I had clinched a playoff birth. In my opinion, this feature has to go, and because of it I lost two of the last three games of the regular season.

once i clinch a playoff berth i would rather have minor leaguers start so i can have my best starters available for the first three games of the playoffs...you can put your starters in the minors in the first three slots if you want to start them in the final three games(not sure what the speed of your league is, or if you were online)...

It is near to impossible to do this with most sim speeds. Unless you win the division by a huge margin it's not feasible to entertain this option.

Blah, blah, blah, blah.... what mogul wants mogul get... blah, blah...

We took a poll of our BBMO users about whether or not teams would rather have their starting pitchers rested the last few days of the season when they had already clinched a playoff berth but was still in the division race. The popular opinion was that the teams would rather have a rested pitching staff and win the Wild Card, rather than having their #4 starter start game 1, but win the Division in the process.

We would like to have this as a user-selectable features, but we have not had time to implement it yet.

User-selectable features would be great because polls only satisfy the majority - sometimes 50% +1. Who's to know you are working on it though. There is not schedule of 'Things To Do'.

In the meantime we (I) get an Official Warning for writing, "... Blah, blah, blah, blah.... what mogul wants mogul get... blah, blah..." when posting suggestions on here is often a waste of time.

As I've said I hold no malice towards the game whatsoever. If I come back online later tonight and find I've been booted for making my contribution then I will still sleep well. Still, I don't think I'll be posting again anyway.
