so i have this 3rd year player, he came up as a 20-year old SS with A+ contact, A- power, and A- eyes.
After a season, he was around A/B/A, and now he's been scouted at B/B/B for a month or so.
He's never had a serious injury, and the only other variable is that he's been playing 2B in the majors instead of SS.
His stats keep dropping like his ratings too.. what's going on with this guy?!

Have you changed your scouting? Or is your scouting just not very accurate?

That could be it. Or it is possible, for some strange reason, his peak age was 20 years old, so after that he is beginning to decline.

In one of my leagues I recieved a great looking 20 year old SS prospect(B contact/A- power and B's in defense) he played a year in the minors hit 45 HRs and .300 and the next off season my top 5 scouting had him at C+ contact/B power and B-'s in D, quite the decline considering I have seen worse prospects turn into A+ A+ hitters and there D improve.I guess when you think about it there are lots of good prospects who don't turn out it's just tough when you had the guy slotted in your 4 hole for years to come and he falls apart:(
