View Full Version : How many really post ?
How many Beta tester post here ? Out of all the players that play it seems like it is only a few of us that do post. If that is the case things like this new cap.......... Hurt more then help. Just because a few people complain does not mean it is the majority. Bugs are one thing.......... But slapping me with a salary cap I am stuck being 5th in my league for Med staff,Scouting,an farm system, that means no matter what my team will suffer because I can never get any better with those. I took my team apart to make sure I had plenty of points for the next few years. Now it seems like all of that was for nothing :(
Players that want these restraints should have their own leagues to play in..........
So the question does go out, how many post here that really play ? An way should only a few make it so hard for the rest ?
Because now also with this "Limit"
My team is going to lose money, I made it a point so this would not happen, but now because of the new code or what not my team is going to lose at least 50 points..........
not so good..........

I Totally agree with you, I think you are in my FS4 league. I'm the yanks in that leauge, and this season I was planing on taking a hit on points for about 45-55 points. Now with these constraints, I'm looking at a 200-250 point loss. This is UNACCEPTABLE. People who whine and moan for the balanced leauges should start a new one, not switch 10 years into a sim. How accurate can our testing be when a majority of the teams(I would assume) are going to lose money, dump talent and basically be in debt for the next 3-4 years? I have also noticed with the new FA bidding system, players are asking for and reciveing Crazy salarys. EG: A decent pitcher went for 150/7 years in 1 of my leauges. In that leauge if I had bid that for the player I would have less than 75 points for all other expences. that guy also has Arod, so His fiances must be pretty patchetic right now, with 2 players taking up 255 points. I REALLY wish we had been warned.Clay and Dee and James, you guys have done a killer job on updates, bug fixes, and so on, but this time you fumbled the ball.

...is the point that I think that I have also. This "cap", or "limit", or whatever they want to call it hasn't changed anything. True, my Boston team can no longer have a payroll of 700 points, unless I want to mortgage my future for a WS ring now (which I don't mind doing, so there! :P) But now my Oakland team in another sim can only have a payroll of 117 instead of 153. How am I possibly supposed to compete in such an environment. I had just figured out how to do so with a 153 point payroll. Now I'm over by 36 points and going to lose money, even though I painstakenly assured myself that at the very least this year, I would make no money at all. This stinks right now.
