I would like to be able to search for players based on their defensive range, not just fielding ability. Why? To me, range can be more important than fielding, that's why. K?!

For example, say outfielder A has 100 balls hit to his area of the field. He fields 90 chances cleanly - without an error. The other ten balls hit to his area went for hits. 10% of balls hit to player A resulted in baserunners.

Another player, with better range, has 100 balls hit to his area of the field. He fields all 100 chances but commits 5 errors in the process. Only 5% of balls hit to player B resuled in baserunners - even with his abysmal .950 fielding percentage.

So, is it too much to ask to be able to search by defensive range too?

Thanks,

Ervin

I don't understand. If there was a reference in there or you are trying to imply I'm a troll, I completely missed it.

Thanks for considering my suggestion.

Cheers,

Ervin
