So I've been playing with some guys I know and we're now in the offseason of 2018, what I'm wondering is, do certain teams usually draft certain positions. For example, I started out with Boston and in 10 seasons the computer never used my first round pick to draft a pitcher. For the past three seasons, however, I played with Pittsburgh, and for the three seasons, I've used a 1st round pick on a pitcher every time! It's a bit strange.

From what I've seen, some teams do have a proclivity for grabbing pitchers. Some seem to get SP's more than others, some seem to repeatedly end up with RP's. I haven't really noticed much in the way of trends with individual position players though. One exception is a 24 hour league I'm in. My London team seems to have picked a lot of top notch middle infielders, with second seemingly the preferred spot.

I know there is a trick to it, but I haven't quite perfected it. One thing is for sure, your scouting grade makes a big difference on how well your computer scout drafts.

I more see Bats than pitching I thing the number of players in the Farm would have an effect too But the comp likes to do things in an order i suspect the bats go before pitching.watching a cpu team choose may be a way to gague.
otherwise I neither have a real clue.
