How much does where a player plays affect his performance.

More specifically, does the game take into account that a pitcher (and his games) are at Coors Field vs. say Shea Stadium or Dodger Stadium?

If I see Denny Neagle as a FA with recent ERAs in the 5's for Colorado, might I expect him to return to a more reasonable level if picked up by the Mets? Or has he now been branded as a washed up pitcher?

Park effects play a very large part into the game. Pitchers will usually have a higher ERA in Colorado, while hitters while hit more homers. If you sign a player to the Mets that used to play on Colorado, you would most likely see a decrease in ERA or homers.

The game also takes into effect foul ground size, the distance to the wall, altitude, etc.
