SS Curtis Chase (http://www-1.sportsmogul.com/bb/bg.pl?page=scouting&id=2220) is a free agent in GM Baseball League. In 8 pro seasons, he's totalled 25 home runs, has a career BA of .261 and a career OBA of .337. He also has a career fielding % of .980.
In the past season he played 154 games and hit 2 homers, batted .271 and did average everywhere else across the stats board. Can someone explain to me why this guy is asking for 113 points for 1 year and 68 points for 7 years to sign him? He should be asking for like 10 points at the most with his poor numbers.

That seems high. But compare that to the other free agent shortstops; is there anyone else available of value? If he is the only decent available shortstop, then it would make sense for him to want a lot of money...but not that much.

I'll point this out to James...
