Ok...I'll start...
I'm 26, pisces, originally from the Boston area. I grew up poor in a rich white suburb; I lived on a junkyard that my dad owned, despite his being unemployed, with two acres or so of farm; so pigs, goats, ducks, chickens, etc. I was an English nerd in high school, with long hair, editor of the newspaper, wrote some articles for local papers, etc. I played D+D until I was 16 and decided to start touching girls, and played Vampires when I was 17. I dated an Indian girl for 5 years, who was adopted by a Jehovah's Witness family; I intended on marrying her, but she left me for an older guy with 4-5 kids by at least one previous wife. Just as well, cuz she was kind of crazy.
I got a near-perfect score on my SATs, and thought about Harvard, but didn't like the campus/atmosphere or students there. I got a great offer from Emerson, but didn't want to live in downtown Boston, because I am a huge introvert; instead I went to my 3rd choice, Umass Amherst, as part of an English 'talent advancement' program (or some ****). After seeing English majors graduate with little or no job offers, and having a decent grasp of web design, I switched to computer science in my 2nd semester. I excelled in Java and got a job doing web design on the side, but left school after two years, mainly because of issues breaking up with aforementioned girlfriend.
I had always had a part-time job in pharmacy, and while digging myself out of dropout-land in community college, I landed a full-time job at a corporate specialty pharmacy (and cut off my long hair, but only AFTER I had the job for a few months). They implemented a new Oracle-based Java software package, and after becoming a supervisor there, I worked my way into an analyst/super-user role. At 24 I was offered a position in Florida, and for 6 months they flew me back and forth all over to train other sites, provide user support, and test/design new functionality. Eventually they offered me a relocation package and I moved to Orlando, FL, buying a little condo. I stayed in Orlando from Feb 06 to Oct 07.
In March 07 my new girlfriend in Orlando got a job in Charlotte NC and wanted me to move with her; I looked around and after 6 months, found a great job at a healthcare eligibility clearinghouse as an analyst. They offered me a large raise, and again a relocation package; In october '07 I moved up here, moving in with the girlfriend (and her two dogs) and have been tremendously happy ever since (except for the dogs).
I am extremely non-religious; politically independant, but I lean liberal I suppose. I am very environmentally conscious, driving a hybrid car, recycling, saving water, not wasting electricity/resource, etc. I am great at saving money, investing in stocks and retirement plans/401ks, and I paid off all my student loans (and my '05 Prius) in short order. I am pale, about 6', maybe 190 lbs (sure, a little pudgy), and I jog and play tennis regularly. I only date spanish or darker-skinned chicks, I am generally easy to get along with, introverted, but have a very sarcastic and biting wit. I am not married, have no kids, and plan on those staying the same for another 3+ years. I hate Wal-Mart, blind consumerism, over-consumption, some disgusting acts of capitalism, and wish we could all just be happy and in love and not hurt/profit off each other.
In my spare time I play with my website, writing rants, comedy, or reviews of music/films (Mr. Brooks was great, BTW). I have been a musician for 10 years or so, starting as bassist for a punk band in Boston, then branching out into guitar in college, and finally learning piano, mandolin...just about anything with strings, and some singing. My bands were small and did not go far, but toured small venues from New Jersey up to Maine. My musical taste and appreciation ranges fom bluegrass (nickel creek, john cowan) to mainstream alternative (john mayer, DMB), to progressive rock (YES, Tool) to classical (Vivaldi, etc). I have written about 50-60 songs, and plan to start playing some small clubs in the Charlotte area soon, to see if I have any shot at anything (probably not).
Other than that, just another dude working in a cube. WHEW! who's next?

Inspired by AOW's example, I'll come clean about myself.
I've always wanted to be a catcher, ever since I was a little girl. This was fine whilst playing rounders in English junior schools...the other girls were quite willing to let me be the one to run miles to retrieve the hot hard one -delivered by the Dragon Lassie, our girl's school bully - that had gotten past both batter and butter-fingered catcher (me)
But, with the onset of puberty, my breasts grew to the extent that I became
top-heavy, and I found that I could no longer squat in the catcher's stance without balancing myself with both hands on the ground, behind me. A bit of a drawback for a backstop, what?
So keen was I on becoming a pukka catcher that I decided upon a sex-change operation...I was fed up with femininity anyway, the other girls forever looking askance at my baccy chewing; spitting; foul language on the field of play, and turning up at the plate, unshaven
The op was a success - sort of ...I am no longer a buxom blob of a blonde,
but a blond male stringbean (with colossal cajones:p)...trouble is, I still can't crouch like a real catcher should...my legs are now so long, that when I squat, I can't see over my knees.
Guess I'll have to take up pitching...now where can I contact that Dragon Lassie, she with the hot. high ones...?

k, I was born in Eastern Washington, and I almost died in a fire when I was just 11 months old. My sister left a battery car charger on a car my dad was working on. She would always play with my dads cars while he was at work (in western WA). My Dad would come home on the weekends and was working for the Coca-Cola company. (he would also always bring tons of Coke home :D.). After the fire, I was in an oxygen incubator for over 14 days. I almost had a trek put in my throat. My throat was almost Swollen shut.
I was born with some hearing problems which I have overcome. You can see that with my English. I have a lot of trouble sounding out words I don't know, but I have become moderately successful. Speech and English were very troublesome growing up, Math came rather very easy.
I earned my Blackbelt in Chung Moo Kwon when I was 16 in March of 99' after 9 years of practicing. I quit when my instructor Thomas Zoppi died of a heart attack in 01'. I had practiced for 11 years by the time I quit. I also earned a provisional blackbelt in Modern Arnis (phillipino stick fighting). Martial Arts is the only reason why I have overcame soo much obsiticals in my life.) Growing up I had a disablity in English (writing and Speaking) Reading was never a problem... I can hear just fine now...I guess I grew out of my hearing loss. I can hear around 80% in my right ear, and around 70% in my left ear...the problem comes with Fine Hearing and listening to each sylabol. For Example (Think of being able to see, but everything is blury, That is the way my hearing is/was.)
In July of 99' I started at McDonalds cause I was bored....I had just finished my last season of Baseball, I hit .250 in a diapointing year for me. The year before, I led my team to win the Kirkland Championship at Peter Kirk Part (now called Lee Johnson field)I went 0-30 without hitting anything Hard. My Mom actually knows a lot about baseball, taught me how to read a box score at 5 years old. I knew how to read a box score before I could actually read....anyway I got some glasses, and went something like 8-8 and leading my team to win the last two games of the season and to win the KBC Pony Championship against Big O Tires. (I played for Lee Johnson Chevy).
I was an outstanding player in Little League, hit around .500 in my final year in Little League for the KALL Royals (Kirland American Little League).
I still work for the Golden Arches to day and now have my own store (I manage it not own it) I work for the McDonald's Corporation and my title is Restaurant Manager) I run a brand spankin new restaurant in the Redmond Area after working at one of the busiest McDonalds in the West Coast (Redmond Way McDonalds DEC 02-AP 07). I have held every title all the way up.
I also met my GF at McDonalds 8 years ago, and we have been going out since 2000. We are planning on getting married in August of 09, either on the 8th or the 15th. Both are Saturdays. My GF is from the Philippines. She immigrated to the US in 1987 when she was just 3. She decided to go for her Citizenship and she earned that in June of 06'. She feels her US citizenship is a huge Honor. And she can't wait to vote for the first for the presidency for the first time.
I have a Dog and it a lot of hair. I don't like cats even thou I like how they are so clever...and I have a rat that lives in my house. That is about it....maybe I need a cat ;)

I was born a poor black child to WASP parents in the Mississippi Delta region back in 1972. Owing to Dad, for some unexplained to me reason, not trusting mom to be home by herself I was home schooled. Mom, not being all that well educated herself, only ever taught me how to write. She said she would get around to teaching me how to read later when she was done teaching the postman, milk deliveryman, mayor and garbage pick up men how to read, after all it was only fair that she finish teaching them first since they were her students first and besides she would have more time on her hands then. Needless to say it was not until I entered the Dexter Manly College Preparatory School for Boys did I learn to read. I graduated first in my class and won a scholarship to the Mercury Morris School of Experimental Pharmacology.

AOW, your bio seemed to me to be just too feel-good to be true...I am sceptical enough of what people claim in the real world, let alone in this fantasy BM environment.
No need for credentials, AOW, your assurance is enough (although, I for one, would be impressed by your posting of a verse or two from one of your original songs, particularly if were on a theme such as this - belief & disbelief)...
Anyway, we should never be concerned when others doubt us,...we should just move on with a shrug, and a clear conscience.

But since you asked, a quick verse from a song called To The Sun (about disbelief and such):
I think it's great,
that you take me less than serious
Yes it feels great
To be known as a fool
I think it's wonderful
That you take a grain of salt
with every word I say
'Cause you'd just get in my way
I know its hard
To think that I'm up to the challenge,
But it seems
That I've got so much to prove
And I think it's great
If you stay here firm and grounded
And become outdone
As I reach up to the Sun

All of these emotional, life telling stories have inspired me to give my brief life story. It won't be quite as long as others seeing that I am only 15 years old, but it will open all of your eyes to the perfection that that we are all able to achieve. JK
I was born in Burlington, IA in September of '92. I have two married parents and two sisters.
I first became interested in baseball in 2002 when my dad took me to a baseball card shop for the first time. At that time I decided that I would dedicate my life to the Chicago Cubs. Ever since then, I have spent all of my waking moments reading baseball articles, watching baseball, and playing baseball. This includes the offseason, which I credit to Baseball Mogul.
I am a drummer and have been drumming since 5th grade, although with school work, have not been as active this year. this year I am a freshman in high school. I have a 4.0 GPA and play on the track and baseball teams.
In baseball, I batted .450, but do to my slight, 5'6'' 120 lb frame and only 1 home run, I didn't make the all-star team. Maybe next year.
At the current time, I am unemployed and unable to put food on the table for my family.
So there is my inspirational story. Soak it in.

Sure he can...but not necessarily now...not necessarily ever....the same as ourselves.
Look at it this way, Rick...if you as a youngster, yourself, were to meet an interesting adult, and were to ask him (or her) "Hey, what did you do in the war, Daddio (or Big Momma)?", you wouldn't expect them to say "You tell me what you did first", right?
That's the privilege, and the right that we adults have...first dibs at boring the ears off of our juniors:D

I think the right to express yourself should depend on the worth of what you have to say, more than the age of who is saying it. (Granted, MOST of the time those two should be linear...my dad is a 'special' case)

You'd never believe mine if you have trouble with AOW's.
Probably not, Robin...in fact I can hardly credit the life that I've
lived!
It is, in fact, my theory, that an ongoing "daytime drama" i.e. soap-opera could be spun out of the most, seemingly, humdrum of lives...for as mousey as the individual might deem him/herself to be, there's always the drama of taking on a career; partner; family; let alone Fate (in the form of War; Pestilence; Famine; Global Warming; or sheer Happenstance) ever threatening in the background.
It's just that I think that the individual is not always the one to tell this story... he/she, too often, is apt to spoil it by playing the hero(ine) in the tale; to exaggerate for extra effect; to replace uncertain memory with vivid invention.
I've bribed a sympathetic biographer to write mine, (Thanks, Mom!)

I was born in Kingston, Ontario 1984. Grew up loving the only two canadian teams in baseball but shifted more towards the Jays as i grew older. Watching the expos leave the country broke my **** heart but i'll leave that story for another time. I have had a ball and glove and uniform on every summer since i was old enough to walk. I was wanted to play competitive baseball but there wasnt much available here other than all star leagues. I played in those for 2 years in highschool and did really well. However, it was all bs and the coache's kids always played no matter how terrible they were and i decided to go back to house league cause it was a purer form of the game. I'm 23 now and I am a supervisor at Home Depot in the lumber and building materials depts. I live with my girlfriend and we are looking to buy our first house. To this day she has no idea how i can look at Baseball mogul for hours at a time, she thinks I am crazy.
Oh and I played RP/1B/3B/RF

Actually, Coach, I don't know who I am...that sex-change operation that I mentioned was botched, you see.
I remember who I used to be, though, in a previous existence.
Oliver Cromwell.
He who did away with a king, and Christmas, both.
I dunno if that's a boast or a confession....?

QH, is that job as interesting as I think it is? As a DIY buff, I used to love going into HD, and chatting up the pros on fixing various problems, carpentry;plumbing;electrics; etc.
Unfortunately, we have no HD, here.

Well lets see..... I am 23 years old about to be 24 this month... I live in Chicago and am a die hard Cub fan live only like 1.5 miles from Wrigley... try to go to like 15 Cubs games a year if I can although its harder now than it used too... I am not a Bears fan Im a Pats fan and have been one even before they were winning the championships that they have won. I am a huge fan of sports to the extent that while at work I am always listening to Sports radio online. I work for a real estate company a Re/Max company actually. As many of you all know work is slow in real estate right now which is giving me the chance to even type this message from work LOL... I have a 6 month old son with the person I am with we have been together for 3 years and a half... I am Cuban, no I was not born there my family came here in 1969... dont know what else to say I guess that is basically it :D

Ooooooh....some of the boys are a tad intimidated, or else they're the strong silent type. Come on, Fellas, Alloutwar did give us a pretty intricate biog. Tongue in cheek comments only mean you think in diamonds and nines and not a whole lot away from Sport Mogul...Hmmmm? For the blondes...."diamonds" as in baseball diamonds, and "nines"...unless I am blonder than I think I am, there are either nine players or nine innings....???
Now I love baseball...on tv. That way you can get refreshments, go to the bathroom without fighting for a place in line, and no one dumps a soda down your back. Enough of that....Being blonde, I've had to have parts of the game explained by Coach Rongar...and I lurk about learning things here and there.
OK...who am I? I'm a professional Certified Genealogist (means I did up people's ancestors--on paper!) and a former photo/journalist for a good sized newspaper in Utah. I now live on the West Coast, and but for the hurricane winds we've had the last three days, I love it here.
I paint portraits, write great poetry (WHO has an ego?) and worked as female vocalist in four different bands...and played second guitar(which means only that I could accompany myself, if I had to.) I am a writer of sorts and love wordplay.
Well, guys, the guantlet has been thrown down; are you gonna tell us who you are?

Wow...she loves wordplay. And she sings and plays guitar. And lives on the west coast (anywhere near San Fran? I've had job offers there, and visiting it was amazing...it's really my dream city).
Dutchess, visiting Charlotte NC anytime soon? I would be happy to play some tunes with yah. :)

Alloutwar, I believed it. I hope you aren't pulling my leg. I know Coach Rongar is..he's great at it, too...Boomboom, Wow! I seldom have burgers or redmeat...but I love the ambience in "your" Micky D's......Great and best wishes for the wedding when it comes!

I am not now pulling, nor have I ever pulled, a leg. Everything I post is the truth as I have seen it, through what is admittedly a warped and over-dramatic viewpoint. :)
I may have the time to post to forums, but I don't have the time to even begin to make up a story as silly and weird as my life thus far has been.
So Dutchess - acoustic, or electric?

Alloutwar; nope, I travel seldom...live in a cabin in the edge of a large forest and only yodel with my Chihuahuas and sing at festivals when the aging hippies hold them around Eugene or Ashland...I'm a people watcher and a misplaced flowerchild. But guaranteed, if you were playing around on the westcoast, I would sit in with you for a few numbers.
Have you noticed, most of the fellas have mentioned a musical bent in the tales they're sharing? A few of the guys would recognize the nostalgia music I love...Peter, Paul and Mary; Lonnie Mack, Stevie Ray Vaughn...and the bluegrass and country and western singers.
BTW I have cats...for the fella who has a rat...how many do you need? I'll send them, if you don't feed them to your dogs when they've eaten the rat!

It really is...to be honest when I was put into lumber/building materials i didnt know a darned thing about lumber or tools or anything and now i could show anyone how to do it and i can do just about anything on my own. It's one great thing I can say about HD is that they really do provide training. As for the rest, its great solving customer problems and helping them build projects, but like any manager type of role there are drawbacks where you end up doing paper work and stuff rather than being out on the sales floor.

Great to hear from you, Dutchess! I was beginning to fear that you'd gotten washed away, when I saw on t.v. that Oregon was hit by the recent crummy weather'
So glad that you are joining in our mumblings, here...we try to talk about the real world in this "Ejections" forum, so you'll feel right at home here.
More later...I'm off to watch "Man on the Moon", now (the Andy Kaufman biopic)...see, I don't play video games 24/7 :p

Answers In Order Received~~i Play Accoustic. I Was Good Accompaniment...not So Hot As Lead. I Learned So I Could Sing Alone If Needed. And Truly Loved Being The Center Of Attention, As Most Performers Do. To Develop Volume, I Practised In The Canyons Of The Colorado River And On The Moab Utah Football Field...so I Could Really Belt Out A Song. Gee, Someone Should Have Told Me About Microphones...ya Think???
Coach Rongar; Nope, I Didn't Quite Get Blown Away, However, From Sunday Afternoon Til Tuesday Late, I Had No Phone, No Power, No Internet And The Withdrawals Were Monumental!
125 Mph Sustained Winds Had Tall Conifers Whipping 24 Feet Back And Forth, And Obviously Many Were Snapped Off. Hiway 101 And The I-5 Corridor Were Shut Down. Scary Stuff. I'd Rather Face A Spider Upon My Body Parts Than Have Those Kinds Of Winds Puffing Around At My Wee House, Trying To Make Matchsticks Of It. (and Spiders Are The Devil's Creations Made To Give A Certain Blonde A Coronary.

My go. My name is Kevin Capra. I was born in a average sized bustling town named Spokane, Wa on 24 September 1986. to a drug addicted baseball loving dad, and a vulnerable innocent Mother. When i was 3 we moved to seattle. and I lived there all the way up to age 10 when i was adopted. My dads drug addiction got to the best of him and he had contracted AIDs and transmitted it to my mom soon there after.
prior to adoption my dad took me to Mariners Games almost always when they were in town. and also had me play on teams and woudl always play catch with me. He was a big fan of the Yankees, I didnt know much about anything in my single digit years, and looked up to my dad. i loved the Yankees, followed by the Indians, then instead of staking claim to any team i now am a bonafide Ken Griffey Jr. fan with a slight interested in the Reds and Mariners.
In the winter of 2001 my dad finally was set free from a very painful last 2 years of life. but i made it a personal goal for me not to follow the same path he had gonwe down. so after high school in 2005. i enlisted into the United States Marine Corps, and almost 3 years in and 2 deployments better, i feel like im headed in the right direction!!!!!!!!
