If you added just one thing to BBMO what would it be??

There is a lot of discussions about overhauling or updating BBMO. But if there was just ONE thing you wanted added in the meantime what would it be??

I think one thing that is way overdue is moving minor leaguers to a different level. I have superstars dieing in Single A that would develop much faster in AAA.

After that my 2nd priority would be the ability to upload custom leagues and maybe update some reporting functions. But minor league management is NUMBER 1!

There is a trick to stop this happening - trade them to a similar positioned team (ie he has the same sort of guy either pitching or position) & swap players,you will notice on his new team he will "jump" up a level ,let the sim sim once or twice & re trade back & he "suddenly" is at AA or even AAA.;)

I do understand that. But there are times when I only have one 3b in my system and he is stuck in A.

For me its drafting .........you should be able to put players in the order you want them drafted. And the draft date should be changed to what real baseball actually does.

lol. If it wasn't for the effort of certain players like HoustonGM, Boomboom and some others the game would be done!

don't leave yourself out daves. Even if people like HGM and yourself left, this game would go on, there would be somebody right there to fill there shoes. I think that HGM contributions to this game even thou he doesn't play the online part, is greater than any other user. His rosters are ready to be put into BMO, but Clay has tweeked the code, and no longer does BM2k8 use the universe.dat file anymore. It now uses the universe.mog files and cvs files. Hopefully soon thou Clay will beable to implement the lahman database into BMO. I think lone feature would make BMO unstoppable. The older generation of players (over 40), could have leagues when Bob Gibson was still pitching, when Free Agency first started, even as far back as when Mikey Mantle was still playing. That would be the best feature that could be implemented.

:eek: --- no disrespect to HGM nor you Bobby,but how can someone who doesnt play the game nor even contributed to the product we actually have,be the greatest ? That is illogical (IMHO).

I don't think I'm greater than anybody else here - just for the record. We've all contributed to SportsMogul in one way or another. I don't think boomboom is saying that I'm "the greatest" or anything, just that he thinks I've made a larger contribution than any other user. Personally, I don't think that. I've made my contribution as a mod and a roster maker, both of which have other people contributing as well, so I wouldn't put my contributions above those of anybody else.

This I understand,HGM & your contribution to the offline game is prodigeous (& I agree that you,Ohms,Robinhoodnik have IMPORTANT roles in the development of BM08 as a product thanks to your rosters,logos,answers to questions) but Bobby was talking about BMO which was the point of this thread/forum.Thus my reply/question.

As far as I know, you have not contributed to the BMO product in itself nor (apart from a brief period) been a BMO player/commish.

Which is basically what I said ....LOL as I say your OFF LINE contribution (with the others I said) is preponderant & extremely useful for both newbies & veterans - I think Bobby "got his forums mixed up".;)
